The point is that for most people, the millinials and generation Z, the Corona Virus is less deadly than the flu. But for a sizable group, those over 60, its quite scary. And for those who have bad diets and are very over weight its also very bad.
Look at African Americans vs. Africans. Africans have not been too badly effected by the virus compared to the US and Europe. But African Americans have worse numbers than white Americans and much worse than Africans. Why is that? Most likely, its diet and life style. Also, Africans are not very old. While African Americans are.
But like the flu, we are not going to stop this virus. Nobody ever promised that they could stop it. Nobody ever denied that everyone wouldn’t get it sooner or later no matter how much you lock down or mask up. There has been no association with locking down and low infection rates.
I am just turning 60. I have not gotten the vaccine and will not get it. Same for my wife. I told my mother to get the vaccine, she is 86. And I told my grown children not to. Some of my children had the virus as did my brother and sister, they are fine. It was like the flu.
