Hundreds of Ukrainians attended a neo-Nazi march celebrating Nazi SS soldiers in Kiev on Wednesday, sparking condemnation from around the world.

The Embroidery March, which was conducted legally, marked the 78th anniversary of the creation of the SS Galicia, a force set up under German occupation of predominantly Ukrainian and German volunteers who wished to take up arms for Nazi Germany.

After what the Germans did to the Ukraine during WWII this makes no sense.

This is a weird one. A bunch of Ukrainians actually crossed over to the Nazi side at one point. I don’t fully understand the history.

They had special SS Kill squads going through to get rid of the undesirables. The atrocities committed were unreal.

Think of them as the squad. Small in number but attention getting.

I think the pro-Nazi Ukrainians were hoping to be liberated from Stalin’s Soviet Russia. Unfortunately for them, the cure was at least as bad as the disease....

The Soviets were as bad as the Nazis. Ukraine was siezed by the Soviets. They joined with the Nazis to overthrow the Soviets.

The soviets were so brutal to the Ukrainians that siding with the Nazis seemed the lesser of two evils.

They were correct, but it was still siding with evil.

When Germany started operation Barbarossa, The Ukrainians saw them as a Christian crusaders freeing them from atheistic Communism. These peasants naively saw the Maltese cross on German Vehicles as religious symbols. They would soon be awakened from that misconception.

Don’t forget that Stalin deliberately starved millions of Ukrainians back in the 1930s. So I’m guessing that at least some of those Ukrainians were fighting against Stalin, as opposed to fighting for Hitler.

Read about the Ukrainian Holocaust called Holodomor. Deliberately done by Stalin to force communism\collectivism on Ukraine and you would understand why !

It makes a lot of sense in understanding the Kiev coup government, and the Russians visceral resistance to their eastward spread.
It also dovetails nicely with the Kiev government being so beloved by our our neocons who functionally, are also essentially nazis.

It also explains the Kiev keeping wars going in the east. You don’t want the ones who put you into power hanging around town if you can send them elsewhere. And if they can get killed in that “elsewhere” so much the better.

Most of the guys operating the extermination camps such as Belzec, Treblinka, Sobibor, etc were Ukranians known as Hiwi.

And we have plenty of the same type here in America today that would happily do the same work.

The Holodomor in the Ukraine was courtesy of the communists to the east. Maybe these Ukrainians celebrated the nazis coming in from the west to get revenge against the commies to the east.

The idea that the Ukrainian government is secretly Nazi because of a few hundred marchers is stupid.

The Russkie separatist leaders, meanwhile, have photos of themselves posing with hybrid Nazi-Communist flags with Lenin and Stalin photographs.

Is this going to be like the belly-aching over Reagan at Bitberg?

Honestly, NAZIs are the ONLY power group universally “hated” but EVERYone.....which seems a bit absurd.

They’d have no compunction about celebrating any communists, anywhere.
