They’ve been doing it for years already. AT&T will just hand over anything they ask for. AT&T has lot of licenses given by the fedgov, they don’t want no trouble.

“Still Illegal”

Only when the COURTS say so, so we’re good.

Hmmm....

But there are people here who don’t care if the Democrats stack the courts, as long as no RINOs are around, they’re happy!

Get ready for some spying!!!

I find them moronic that the Biden administration is even talking about this. And they have a justice department that should have told them they can’t “legally” do this. It violates the law. Without a warrant they can’t “legally” place a person under surveillance with intent to intimidate them.

18 U.S. Code § 2261A - Stalking

But the socialists have had problems with warrants many times. And when it is that obvious they are trying to bypass a legal action, one they have tried before and been caught at, then it starts to border if not break down the government legal system intentionally which can constitute treason. How many want to fall on their swords for the party?

That is the correct interpretation of the law and especially our 4th amendment protection. Unfortunately we live in lawless times. Notice how they judge shopped for the Guiliani search warrant.

“Still illegal” is right.

If the insource outsources, the source is still the former. There is no laundering of the origin.

They’ve already been doing it for a decade at least.

“it’s illegal for the government to pay someone to snoop”

The businesses do the snooping whether the government pays or not. So it’s not “contract work” they are doing on behalf of the government. It’s not really “snooping” either, since the users consent to having the data collected.

The government just comes along and buys that collected data like any other business can buy it, except the government is not buying it for business purposes.

It probably should be illegal, but it isn’t. Pretty big loophole, and it’s probably the reason the government will never actually crack down on the social media sites.

Bejing Biden doesn’t have anything on Putin or China when it comes to being a dictator does he? GOD help America. I read that the name biden in Hebrew means “A judgement”. Just a little food for thought.

So the Government can’t spy on private citizens without a warrant, but can pay other companies for the very same information?

No wonder Big Tech are in bed with the DemocRATs.

Just last week it was announced that the Post Office was being used to monitor social media in the hunt for extremists. Let’s face it 0bama initiated spying on the Tea Party, the Trump campaign, numerous reporters, and probably everyone that didn’t vote for him. We shouldn’t be surprised that Biden picks up where 0bama left off.

The communists are on an unstoppable roll...

There is absolutely nothing underway, proposed, or planned that can stop them...

The sniveling American people have only one set of rules;
Bow down!... Obey!... Snitch!...
