On Thursday’s broadcast of Comedy Central’s “Daily Show,” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) admitted that she supported preserving the filibuster in the past, but she “learned from” how Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) conducted himself when he was in the majority “and also that the filibuster is a vestige of the Jim Crow days.”

What a stupid argument!!
I don’t support the filibuster...and I haven’t for decades.
But at least I have a real reason. Hirono is entirely lacking in her own thoughts. A real empty suit.

It’s certainly not hard to translate her ever-so-pious words:
“I supported the filibuster when it was useful to the Democrats (when we were in the minority) and I will support it again if the Democrats’ Massive Vote Fraud Machine ever breaks down and we are ever in the minority again, though that will not happen for several decades at least.
But now that we are the permanent majority I suddenly have discovered a moral objection to the filibuster and many other things in the Dead White Racist European Male Constitution of the United States, and I will retain those objections until it benefits me and my party to abandon them.”

Hirono is a good soldier for the ‘rats. They abandon all beliefs if asked/told by the party. They have learned to love Big Brother.

I think it is a valuable tool.
Anything that stops the government from making more and more ‘legislation’ is fine with me.
The Democrat party is a vestige of the Confederacy. The Democrat party created Jim Crow.

There have been long debates on free republic over the years, and articles from both sides posted.
My basic reason is that I consider it a covert amending of the Constitution.
For example: what if the senate rules had an addition that says that the presence of the VP counts in a quorum determination?
Filibuster, Jim Crow.
Secure borders, Jim Crow.
Requiring ID to vote, Jim Crow.
Law and order, Jim Crow.
The Bill of Rights, Jim Crow.
Lowering taxes and reducing spending, Jim Crow.
Essentially, Jim Crow = anything libs/Dems don’t like.

Hirono has no credibility. Everyone knows that as soon as the Democrats are back in the minority she will be supporting the filibuster again.
This is the problem with hypocrisy arguments against those that have no logic or shame.
