Kamala Harris hasn't been looking well lately. She gave a maskless interview to CNN's Dana Bash a week ago, and she looked much more jowly and wrinkly than she did just three months ago, when she took the oath of office. She has a bit more junk in the trunk now, and gone are the purple, maroon, and ivory suits; it's black or navy all the time now, the better to hide the extra jiggly bits. A lot of her sentences now begin with "Well, I mean," signaling the intellectual vacuity she's settled for, as though she's completely given up on trying to sound smart.
Is the stress of not being able to do her job getting to her? Does she have Imposter Syndrome on steroids and the medication has stopped working? Or does she have some awful knowledge of a certain future event the rest of us don't know about and is coping with it the best way she can? On April 23, she gave a speech to the IBEW Local 490 in Concord, N.H., and she slurred and giggled her way through "I think it is important to look at folks like Haley and Kelly and also say we're gonna take note of the fact that during the pandemic 2 million people, 2 million women people (pause, nod, nod, giggle, giggle) became unemployed." (Is that funny? I don't get it.) Is she spending her days with Jose Cuervo now? Sipping Vodkawaiian Punch from the juice bottle? When her secretary accepts an engagement for her, does she whisper into the receiver, "Mrs. Harris would appreciate the offer of a teeny martooni upon arriving at the venue"?

She’s afraid she might have to do something.
Last night’s ensemble was off white and champagne.
Attacking her looks is not going to be nearly as effective as pointing out the unprofessional demeanor, especially when that betrays a self-absorbed inability to take voters problems seriously.
She can only keep up the charade for so long. I think the lust for trappings as vice president is wearing off.
Peter principle. Nothing more. The dog that caught the bus.
She was never that smart, but she pumped Willie Brown hard enough to launch her career, was ruthless enough to carry out her orders as a DA, and then capitalized on her dubious racial status and ability to be controlled to be paired with the dirty grandpa CP.
They knew she wouldn’t/couldn’t put up a fight once she was in office. They will ride Biden until he collapses, and then they will ride Harris.
She figured once she was in office, she’d have power. She’s found it to be otherwise.
And she’s depressed because of it now that reality is hitting home.
That’s my theory.
Those of us from California know not to expect much of anything from our former State Attorney General. All she’s good for is to be the mistress of powerful men like Willie Brown. As a phony VP, she is still sort of a mistress now, only as the political whore to whoever is pulling hers and Biden’s strings.
Being President takes a toll on you.

She is being scripted as much as Biden.
And she’s depressed because of it now that reality is hitting home.

It’s not stress. She’s a member of the protected class. If someone even looks at her wrong, she can say they are a racist. A exclusive privilege of being black in America today.

What else would you expect from someone who got to where she did by spreading her legs for the right people?
Every network has a pair of news anchors. One of them is an elegant-looking man, and in almost every case the other one fits Kamala Harris' description to a T: a swarthy woman of no defined race or ethnicity with straight hair and a fake smile.
She's put there because the network news is aimed at female audience, and they put the diarrhea-colored woman with the straight hair and the fake smile on the screen because a woman of any race or ethnicity will identify with her. The white viewers will think she's a white woman with a tan, the black viewers will call her a light-skinned black woman, and the Hispanic viewers will think she looks exactly like them.
Kamala Harris -- like the female news anchor -- is nothing more than a TV character.
The other thing I've noticed is that the people who run network news programs have the absolute dimmest expectations when it comes to the tastes of their black audiences. You'll often see a heavy-set black woman on the air as a news anchor or reporter, but you'll never see a fat white slob in that chair.
