They could use solar power....no? Would need to upgrade the size of solar energy plants. Power plants could burn easy clean alcohols or pure veggie-table oils....wouldnt need fossil fuels as much. Byebye tesla....fun while it lasted.
I heard about this weeks ago, they are doing in in a part
of South America that has lots of wind and so wind turbines
are generating the electricity for the electrolysis process
seems doable. Also, they remove CO2 from the air which aids
the excess CO2 from cars.
There was a movie about this...

Nope, doesn't work. Would you choose a process where the feedstock (air) contains only 400 ppm of CO2? There's no way you can economically separate that low concentration -- it is an expensive and inefficient process.
The most efficient and economical way of producing carbon dioxide is from ammonia. Ammonia is produced from natural gas. Around 80% of ammonia produced around the world is used as plant fertilizer.
Desulphurzed methane (natural gas) is steam reformed to CO + 3 H2. Catalytic shift conversion converts the carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide and more hydrogen: CO + H2O → CO2 + H2. The CO2 is a byproduct and is sold to industries that need it.
So it all comes down to NATURAL GAS.
You can also get huge amounts of CO2 from cement kilns. Calcium oxide is a crucial ingredient in modern cement and is also used as a chemical flux in smelting. Industrial calcination emits carbon dioxide: CaCO3 (limestone) + Heat → CaO + CO2.
Fossil fuel powered power plants have 14% CO2 in their flue gasses which is 140,000 ppm CO2.
Stopped by my Porsche dealer on the way and topped up my tank. Twenty gallons was only $879.37.
