Just hit the wires…

Congressional Democrats plan to unveil legislation expanding the size of the Supreme Court on Thursday, according to three congressional sources familiar with the closely held measure.

The bill would add four seats to the high court, bringing the total to 13, from the current 9. The number of justices on the Court has fluctuated widely throughout the course of the nation’s history. Republicans currently hold 6 seats, while Democrats hold just 3 after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the quick confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

The bill is led by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler, Subcommittee chair Hank Johnson, and freshman Rep. Mondaire Jones.

In the Senate, the bill is being championed by Ed Markey of Massachusetts.

This story is developing…

When will governors start vacating clearly unconstitutional Federal laws and rulings from SCOTUS?

Roberts browbeat the others into submission with the excuse that it would start a civil war.

What he did was start a civil war...............

Good to hear, perhaps it will wake up the “Can’t be anything worse than RINOs” crowd on our side, but even if so, they’ll find another excuse to help the Democrats (by sitting out elections).

Amen to that, AMEN to that. But, the LORD is still on the throne and still in control of events. All will happen for His reasons, not ours. We have to pray that the Harpazo really draws near and pray that our Heavenly Home is nearer than we first thought!! Come quickly LORD JESUS!! Maranatha!!

>> The number of justices on the Court has fluctuated widely throughout the course of the nation’s history. <<

This is a patently false statement.

The original court had 6 members. It was expanded to 9 (and briefly 10) to grow as the country grew, until Congress abandoned the notion of judges having to travel throughout a given federal court district to hear cases in that district.

Or so someone says!
I am skeptical that there is a factual information channel into closed USSC discussions.

Notice when religious leaders praised the recent SCOTUS ruling to allow people to gather to pray despite governors’ pick and choose lockdowns, this got the intimidation ball rolling again.

Worst was when the court ruled they would rather not gather up the courage to even allow back and forth testimony on the election validity in vote fraud allegation suits. “Uh, time to knock off work today yet? Maybe recess a few months. too bad, we won’t hear arguments.” Including the recent Trump justices and the liberal Roberts as usual.

Just before that was “that darn little SCOTUS is too small. We need a huge one.”

All the many threads here with “That is unconstitutional” “Will never hold up in the SCOTUS.” now will be obsolete.
Justice Hillary will write the opinions and Andrew Cuomo and Newsom will strongly agree. Stacey Abrams, too.

God forbid.

We have one already since District Judges can make rulings that effect everyone, even the President.

Because we don’t FIGHT!!

I’m not a leader but I keep waiting for one to say let’s dance!!

I don’t blame Trump for not going that far.

But I would have followed him.

SO MANY on this board said for So Long that fighting would be the only way to win back our country.

I called them crazy and fools. Especially when they spoke of a CWII.

Then when I Finally agreed with them...crickets.

Sheesh

SCOTUS had the chance to stop the illegal occupation by these domestic enemies, but they chose not to. Now their court is a play toy.

“2022 can’t come fast enough.”

I’m sure the dems can quickly rig the rest of the electoral process so the all but a handful of up for grab seats wind up in dem hands regardless of how red a state/district may be

First, packing anything is UN-constitutional, which all elected took an oath and protect that document. Te GOP should call out Ms. Pelosi for her dereliction of duty to her sworn Oath to " “I, Nancy Pelosi, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” In contrast to the presidential oath, where it’s used only by tradition, the phrase “so help me God”

Pelosi is asking the House to break Constitutional Law ...is she therefore acting as criminal herself.

Knew this would happen. They steal the election knowing it won’t last. Use a few years and pack the courts. If he packs the SC and we find out the election was fraud would it hold..
