As TFTP reported last year, it was reported that the top climate change scientist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration received $4 million in funding from Congress along with permission to study two highly controversial geoengineering methods in an attempt to cool the Earth. According to Science Magazine, David Fahey, director of the Chemical Sciences Division of NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory, told his staff last week that the federal government is ready to examine the science behind “geoengineering”—or what he dubbed a “Plan B” for climate change.

This plan is in congruence with the plan backed by billionaire Bill Gates in which plans have been made to spray dust into the atmosphere to dim the sun that would potentially reflect sunlight out of Earth’s atmosphere, triggering a global cooling effect.
The Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), launched by Harvard University scientists, aims to examine this solution by spraying non-toxic calcium carbonate (CaCO3) dust into the atmosphere — a sun-reflecting aerosol that may offset the effects of global warming.

That’s basically the premise of “Snowpiercer” - some one tried to cool the planet and things went horribly wrong. The temperatures on the show are so cold **worldwide** that the atmosphere would have frozen out

Howard Hughes wasn’t a eugenicist. Gates is. Like many, he believes that the earth population should be reduced by 90%. Let that sink in. Add to that, he is now the largest farmland owner in the US. I’m thinking he bought it to poison the soil so it won’t produce crops.

Do the non-life scientists ever think about the effects on life on earth if they go through their schemes to reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the earth? Plants need both light and carbon dioxide to photosynthesize and produce all of the biomolecules that every other living thing depends on. (Except some microorganisms.)
What happens when you reduce the carbon dioxide in the air? Won’t that lead to reduction of plant mass, and therefore all biomass? What happens when you reduce the light coming to earth? Won’t that cause plants to slow down or stop photosynthesis and die?
The stupidity of scientists who never learned anything about the carbon cycle or plant biology or any other life science basic is astounding. I wish, instead of trying to foment hysteria over the quantity of a gas that is essential for life, they would consult with life scientists about outcomes for their crazy schemes. There isn’t even any evidence for the premise that carbon dioxide heats up the atmosphere (i.e. that carbon dioxide produces energy). None!
Putting stratospheric aerosols absolutely would cook the planet. The effect is well known large volcanoes can put millions of tons of particulates into the upper troposphere and stratosphere with long documented dimming and cooling outcomes. mt pinatubo last eruption in 1991 was a modern example and it’s effect was recorded world wide. Mnt. Tambora in 1816 put enough particulates to cool the whole planet .7C and caused “the year without a summer”
So the effect is well documented and proven. If one wanted to cool the planet the fastest way to do it would be to find a mega caldera volcano with a magma chamber under pressure that is within a few km of the surface then drill down half way and place a thermonuclear device to pop the cork. The subsequent eruption would replace millions if not billions of metric tons directly to the stratosphere cooling the planet for years to decades. The DOD had a paper once called dark winter it was a science study of what would happen if bad actors put a device in the lake bed of Yellowstone caldera it was rapidly pulled due to it being an instruction manual on how to create a biblical apocalypse I should know I’m a geologist who does that exact kind of drilling it wouldn’t be hard to set off Yellowstone and the results would be biblical.
