The new Georgia voting law is anything but ‘Jim Crow 2.0’

Stacey Abrams looked me straight in the face from her twitter video, smiled, and lied to me. She revealed her utter contempt for her opponents -- whom she has libeled as unregenerate racists, and her supporters, whom she believes too stupid to check facts for themselves. Her lie: Georgia’s new election laws are worse than Segregation’s Jim Crow laws -- in fact, they are Jim Crow 2.0!

The worst insult I can give is to call someone a liar. To know the truth and to say its opposite is to reveal a deep emptiness of the soul. But Stacey Abrams was not the only liar to refer to our new law as so bad. Biden said it is “Jim Crow on steroids” or “Jim Eagle.” Democrat leaders across the land have not corrected these misstatements: The Democrat party is the Lying party.

The outrage the Democrat party focused on Georgia’s election law and election law reforms across the country shows its 2020 election success may be due to new tactics and thus vulnerable to legislative change.

Georgia’s election law was the result of bipartisan compromise and negotiation. Initially, the proposals were more restrictive, yet Democrats came to the table, provided inputs, and some changes were made. Even Stacey Abrams acknowledged the compromises negotiated in the bill -- Souls to the Polls (that is, busing people from Church to polling places) and absentee voting were both upheld.

These were two important parts to the Democrat victories in Georgia. Souls to the Polls reveals the historic partnership between the African American church and the Democratic Party. As my African American friends have discussed with me, it is considered normal for pastors to go over the ballot with their members, explaining who and what to vote for,

This is so much bigger than Jim Crow. Maybe call it Jim Pterodactyl? Jim Imperial Star Destroyer? Jim Death Star?

Calling the revised Georgia voting law “Jim Crow 2.0” is like calling the National Socialists of the Third Reich “right-wing”. People bought that line of crap for YEARS, many still do, but in truth, National Socialism was only a “kinder, gentler” version of Communism.

And we know just how kind and gentle either of those two command-and-control ideologies ever were.

Word of advice: When a Gap-toothed Ghettopotamous looks you straight in the face, TURN IT OFF!

The left always accuses others of doing what they, themselves actually are doing.

Always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS!!!

If fact, it is often the first clue as to their true intent and actions...

I am just pleased to learn the Jim Crow was apparently not so bad. If showing an I.D. is “worse than Jim Crow”, then Jim Crow was no big deal. Thanks to Stacey and Dementia Joe for clearing that up.

The article speaks to black pastors explaining to parishioners how to vote and then the church providing transportation to the polls. Then the article states, “Culturally, this is different from the white church culture that tends to avoid politics.”

No the reason is a law passed by Congress prohibiting religious organizations from engaging in political activity if they claim tax exempt status. From the IRS website: “In 1954, Congress approved an amendment by Sen. Lyndon Johnson to prohibit 501(c)(3) organizations, which includes charities and churches, from engaging in any political campaign activity. To the extent Congress has revisited the ban over the years, it has in fact strengthened the ban. The most recent change came in 1987 when Congress amended the language to clarify that the prohibition also applies to statements opposing candidates.”

Any preacher who goes over the ballot with a parishioner telling them who to vote for is clearly in violation of the law and the church should have its tax exempt status revoked.
