As officers were responding to the shooting in Frederick, they learned that personnel on the Army base had shot the suspect and the suspect was down. Police said the suspect was a man, but didn’t release anymore details.

A gunman is dead and two people are in critical condition after a shooting in Frederick, Maryland, on Tuesday morning.
The shooting was reported at about 8:30 a.m. in the Riverside Tech Park, on Progress Drive not far from Monocacy Boulevard.
Police Chief Jason Lando said the gunman was 38 years old, and after shooting two men at the Riverside Tech Park, he headed for Fort Detrick, about 10 minutes away, where he was shot and killed by military personnel there.
The Navy confirmed in a tweet that there was a shooting at the fort.

Isn’t Fort Detrick where they do a lot of chemical and bio weapons research? The first shootings were at a Tech Center, so I assume the guy was possibly a researcher or a technician. Or maybe just weird.
Sounds like an “in-active” shooter incident now. But yes, the anti American no gun trolls will be out. Any and all firearms incidents, no matter what type or caliber, are now to be pushed to the head of the line. IOW “headline” news. I can hear it in my minds ear now: “In yet another horrific shooting incident.......”

Decades ago, an inappropriate action would have been meet with deadly force.
It was a government operative for the feds./etc. to try to further/completely disarm ALL our military bases.
