The United States Chamber of Commerce says it is “critically important” for the Senate to pass two amnesty bills that will pack the U.S. labor market with more foreign workers.
Last week, the Democrat-controlled House — with support from 30 House Republicans — passed two amnesty bills. One of the amnesties would put about 4.4 million young illegal aliens on track for American citizenship while the other would provide green cards to up to 2.1 million illegal aliens claiming to have worked on U.S. farms.
The Chamber of Commerce praised the House Democrats’ passage of the amnesties. In a statement, the Chamber’s Vice President, Neil Bradley, called the amnesties “critically important” to big business and corporate interests.
“Both the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act are critically important to the business community,” Bradley said:
In a letter to Congress, Chamber executives urged lawmakers to pass the amnesties, claiming “they provide bipartisan solutions to very important issues.”
The Chamber’s push to pass the amnesties is significant because of the campaign cash that the business group continues to funnel to lawmakers. The biggest campaign donations went to lawmakers such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
The Chamber’s support for the amnesties comes as multinational corporations like Amazon, Google, Marriott International, Verizon, and Apple are driving the lobbying effort to pass the more expansive of the two amnesties in the Senate.

Well, this simplifies matters somewhat. Just add “Chamber of Commerce membership” to the list of Those Who Must Be Hanged.
You’d figure Walmart would have been on the list.
The CoC now sees itself as the city council of global corporatism one world government. I don’t think any of its leading corporations are America-only instead of multinationals that just see the United States as a cash cow and enforcer of their international villainies.
It is the temple of RINO internationalists.
The future they *want* is seen in the original movie Rollerball (1975). It sucks.
I have put together 13 of those companies global networks.
Sometimes I am disgusted by who I have helped. It was job.
That’s it?
one of the biggest anti-american groups infecting and rotting out the country
I’m fine with issuing a mountain of green cards for legitimate on the books labor. Those that that work hard, pay taxes, and stay out of jail move to the front of the line for citizenship after five years or so.
The Chamber of Commerce went to the dark side awhile ago and is apparently never coming back.
No one who enters the country illegally should ever be given a path to citizenship. Maybe a work permit, or possibly permanent residency, but never citizenship.
The crew of Latinos are probably here legally working for businesses they own and started.
Letting in more cheap labor of illegal immigrants disproportionately lowers the wages of minorities who are here legally. Probably by design - to keep them poor.
The increased taxes will bite harder and harder. I hope they realize that they are signing their own death warrant through taxation and regulations if they sign this.
And it will make these amnestied folks eligible for $15/hr minimum wage.
I just had my roof replaced I took the highest bid BECAUSE the contractor was white his own business and the crew were ALL Americans!! It cost $1000.00 more but worth EVERY PENNY to support American workers!!!
I was a member of the Chamber of Commerce for many years. I am no longer a member. The big boys at the top need the cheap labor for their businesses. I am small business and do not employ illegal aliens as labor. Thus the Chamber of Commerce does not help me. I resigned from the Chamber of Commerce.
If you are small business the Chamber of Commerce IS not your friend. If you are big business needing low cost labor that put USA citizens out of a job, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND.
It would be faster to list who does NOT.
I guess the CoC determined that it would only take 6 million illegals to keep wages down, so they played it safe instead of going for the whole 30 million.
I wonder if the Chamber of Commerce support illegal workers for not just cheap labor but ...this may sound crazy but here it goes. I wonder if they are involved in Human Trafficking in some way financially.
The Chamber of Commerce is like the RINOs of the business community.
If we allow what you say they will never stop coming here, ever.
The CoC has been anti American for years!
