Any mother will tell you that infants love staring at faces. It isn't just parental wishful thinking, either; studies show that babies, even those less than an hour old, tend to stare at face-like images longer than at any other pattern.
At as early as four months, babies' brains already process faces at nearly adult levels, even while other images are still being analyzed in lower levels of the visual system.
The results fit, Farzin pointed out, with the prominent role human faces play in a baby's world.
I wondered briefly what was wrong, and then realized it was the mask I was being forced to wear.
As I was driving home I thought about the damage being done to our babies and started looking for research on this subject, the link above is just a sample of what I found.
We are doing horrible damage to our children, but I have not heard anyone mention this. I am extremely angry. We must get rid of this Mask Theater, we have to do it for the children.

Hell, 99.99% of adults are mentally damaged by the masks.
I go maskless until I enter a store. No mask ever anywhere else.
I still see 99% of people masked up on sidewalks, walking around town, walking through parking lots, on trails. It is utterly ridiculous.
Best make all surgeries be mask free lest the surgeon who is making really careful cuts inside your body suffers the effects of oxygen deprivation or hypoxia.
Best masks are worn by surgeons and you never see one go to the restroom in a cloth mask and then come back out to the table.
You forgot driving in cars alone with the windows up. I see that around here occasionally and find it appalling.
Those are people who would mask up at home if the government told them to.
