“Thanks which vaccine would you take if given the choice”
Given a choice, I would take the J&J (partly because of the unknown risk of new stuff (which I think is low), but also because of the ease of one-shot).
Bottom Line: I will take the first available.
There’s a fantastic explanation of this process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCk7LyMslxo
It’s under 2 minutes long and accurately depicts how the Moderna and Pfizer mRNA vaccines function.
You are a wealth of great information on this topic.
Extremely well put too.
A lot of Catholics here will appreciate your post.
Thanks again!
Have a great evening.
Unless your job was as a microbiologist or organic chemist, you likely have no expertise in messenger RNA, DNA, nucleic enzymatic function, etc.
Cute video. Strangely enough we were taught to use the analytic equipment we had access to and drilled with on a daily basis bynicrobiologists and organic chemists. It is interesting to realize how easily people who believe they are experts at anything they can look up on Google can be so easily misled.
The information that you two have shared with me here isn't worth crap because the understanding the theory behind mechanism that is supposedly why these are worthwhile experimental vaccines has nothing to do with the possible side effects caused and the testing that should have been completed before these were unleashed on the public.
If they accomplish their real goal which is to make the public terrorized and manipulated by a year of distorted nonsense feel like they can go back to their normal routines then I guess that I will be glad that this thing will have run its course. And if it has the added benefit of making a bunch of people suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect feel even better about themselves then I guess that would be a secondary benefit.
The thing that I know more from personal association than hard knowledge is that the people that I respect in the medical and hazmat fields is that they and their families are refusing to take either vaccine to avoid experiencing possible problems down the road. If I am required to take it for work, or travel, I will not hesitate because I am the type of person who does what needs to be done regardless of the risks. But I sure will not be encouraging others to do the same. As far as I am concerned that would be irresponsible, despite you what you two know-it-alls believe.
Personally, I no longer trust much if any of the info regarding Covid deaths or the safety of the vaccines. I have personally never seen so much information released “for the good of the public” as we have this year that has been slanted or out and out false. One of my hobbies used to be jumping off of cliffs with a hang glider, so I would not be afraid to take any vaccine that has been fully vetted or even these. But I would not take one without a good reason and right now there is no good reason for me to take one. I have been exposed multiple times over the past year and never got so much as a sniffle.
Oh, and neat to hear that you were a Chicago Fire Fighter. It is nice to know that just about anywhere you go in the country, you can stop in at a fire station and strike up a conversation with the people working there, and usually get a friendly response.
I always think of the movie Club Paradise with Robin Williams when someone says they were a Chicago Firefighter. I know it is about as realistic as the TV series Tacoma FD, but it is still kind of a funny thought. My uncle was a police officer in Detroit back when it was still a civilized place in the 50s and 60s. People always assume that he was in all sorts of bad situations.
