Masks are purely psychological. They magically give over power and control over strangers to people who haven’t properly earned said power and control.
“There’s a mask mandate. Now I get to yell at and persecute anyone I see without a mask. YAYS! Now I can feel better about myself.”
Each and every one of you anti-maskers is a freaking nutcase. This virus is what it is. It does what it does. It kills people. You prefer to act like it has no power over you. Selfish denial, but fine. It’s your life. But then there’s the whole issue of you catching the virus and infecting me. I can wear a mask to HELP keep me from breathing your virus, but why should I concede our common air to your selfishness?
I shouldn’t. Keep your damn disease to yourself.
My wife and I get out frequently. Grocery store and resturants. We have yet to see or hear anyone sneeze or cough in months. And very few are wearing masks.
Just an obversation.
Masks don’t do a damn thing.
The reason people resent those of us not wearing masks is that we’re not afraid or obedient.
To them fear is a virtue.
This is EXACTLY what I’ve been saying! The Karens who maskshame, by calling those who question the requirement selfish are actually the selfish ones. If they are worried about their health, they need to take charge of it and wear a real mask to protect themselves. The irony of stigmatizing their fellow citizens as selfish is lost on those who impose their own desire for safety by demanding society wear masks and lockdown everything and everyone.
