Yes, that was a bit of reading.
However, most people today (including “conservatives”), literally have near zero contextual idea...
And attention spans don’t exist.
That being said, Early American History
should probably be it’s own subject matter thread.
It never can rise to the importance of the Bible, biblical Christianity, and theology, but it is a human reflection of those who experienced all the trials of life, and who often loved God, and it is our History.
There is literally a library of critical information, and on all subjects.
David Barton is an old friend of mine, who I first met at a Christian Legislative (husband/wife) retreat in Northern Michigan in 1987-1988. I was not married, but just a student at the time.
He is not a “theologian” but does loves God, and he is a real student of American History, including the many nations it derived from.
Never heard of him though I can understand why some may listen.
How big is his house and what does he drive?
try it again, I had it set to private
and I sent it because it is true
Macarthur openly said things that completely contradict scripture, like people who take the mark can repent and be resaved or get saved
Scripture is exactly against that
try it again, I had it set to private, sorry

Thanks. Got it. Hopefully others will watch them . . . even with a mind to refute them. At least they are then exposed to knowlege.
"We will be deposing the key health officers and county officials and requiring them to answer for their oppressive actions under oath, and requesting all documents and information supporting their arbitrary attempts to restrict our religious liberty as a church. Our church leadership remains firmly committed to the truth that Christ is the head of the Church, and we will not yield to government's infringement upon the [B]iblical command to worship and gather together... We intend to steadfastly defend this truth and obtain appropriate constitutional and legal protections and further relief from the Court."
If you have been born again and thus active in service then I am sure you would have heard of him since he has preached extensively and can be heart 7 days a week on radio, and with all his sermons going back about 40+ years being available for free via download (we have most of them), which sets him in contrast to most ministries which usually require at least the production cost. Nor does he engage in fundraising gimmicks, but as of 2021 his net worth of is listed as over $14 million and has earned an annual salaried income of $160,000 for his services. He also has a wife and four children and 15 grandchildren.
If that is what his church wants to pay him then that is up to them before God, but then the issue is his acceptance of it and how much he gives out of it. The less fundamental Rick Warren has $25 million net worth, however he keeps only 10% of his income for himself and donates the remaining 90% to charities across the country.
The commitment to organically meeting together as church is only commendable and right, however the premise which seems (based upon what I have read) to be behind an argument for that practice in the midst of a gov. recognized practice, that that the state can never prevent that, is destined to fail in the courts, since it would also mean that failing to meet requirements for building and fire codes also cannot prevent such meetings.
Courts have ruled in favor of church in cases like this then the latter were subject to a double standard, but arguing that the state cannot never prevent corporate meeting in closed spaces when there is evidence such results in spread of a virus that is often deadly to a certain class of people is unlikely to be one that will prevail.
I do not know much of the specifics of the case but rather than an all-or-nothing argument, then if meetings inside ensured that spacing was followed, and esp. with the unhealthy being separated, and even better, meeting outside and have more but shorted services, then the church would have a better chance to prevail against a states all-or-nothing requirement.
But in the Hebrew the word denotes murder verse simply killing.
"Thou shalt not kill [râtsach]." (Exodus 20:13)
râtsach, raw-tsakh'; a primitive root; properly, to dash in pieces, i.e. kill (a human being), especially to murder:—put to death, kill, (man-) slay(-er), murder(-er).
to murder, slay, kill
(Qal) to murder, slay
premeditated
accidental
as avenger
slayer (intentional) (participle)
(Niphal) to be slain
(Piel)
to murder, assassinate
murderer, assassin (participle)(subst)
(Pual) to be killed
The KJV translates Strong's H7523 in the following manner: slayer (16x), murderer (14x), kill (5x), murder (3x), slain (3x), manslayer (2x), killing (1x), slayer (with H310) (1x), slayeth (1x), death (1x). - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&strongs=h7523
Thus as said, the only real issue is when life begins, and while Scripture certainly makes it clear that the embryo is a real person before birth, yet that it begins at conception requires some degree of matter of deducement, and in which science can also be invoked. Here is good resource using both.
"Each time the Bible speaks of the unborn, there is reference to an actual person, a living human being already in existence. These Scriptures, taken in context, all indicate that God considers the unborn to be people. The language of the text continually describes them in personal terms.
Since the Bible treats those persons yet unborn as real persons, and since the development of a person is a continuum with a definite beginning at the moment of fertilization, the logical point at which a person begins to be human is at that beginning. The answer is that life begins at fertilization. Frankly, no other conclusion is possible from Scripture or science."
Amen
Neither am I.
Some folks won't believe this, lest you show them.
Genesis 18:20-21
20. Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous
21. that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know."
Genesis 19:4-7
4. Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom--both young and old--surrounded the house.
5. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
6. Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
7. and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing.
Leviticus niv
18:22 Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.
20:13 If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Isaiah 3:9 The look on their faces testifies against them;
they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it.
Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.

2 Peter 2:13b Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight.
They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.
Ezekiel 16:49-50
49. "`Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.
50. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.
1. But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
3. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;
5. if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;
6. if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;
7. and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men
8. (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)--
9. if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.
10. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;
11. yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord.
12. But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.
13. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.
But there IS hope!!!
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10. nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
If you could NOT change, you would be in most pitiful shape...

And attention spans don’t exist.
Span?
Heck - we're lucky to even GET their attention at times!
The Constitution for me but not for thee?
Perhaps there is a bit of envy or jealousy or judgementalism involved as well.
or common sense!
Wel, we all have our "riches" that we must forsake to serve the Lord whether it be false gods or pride, or surrender to the Lord Jesus for His use, whether it be in "hardware" or "software," our bodies and minds.
