Portland City Council this week will consider new rules to help people better protect their businesses from vandalism and damage. It would make it easier to add security lights and gates. But people in the Pearl District are looking for more protection to stop the damage vandals are doing in their downtown neighborhood.
Like more lights will stop the rioters, and they'll just tag the shutters forcing owners to fix/clean them after every riot.
Imprisoning the perpetrators is out of the question?
All those gates and lights don’t come for free.
Homeowners have it bad enough now during the pandemic.
They don’t need an extra layer of expenses.
Isn’t that what the police used to be for?
What about Korean snipers on the rooftops?
Maybe if we just arrest them enough, have someone else pay their bail, release them and drop the charges they will eventually stop rioting, eight?

Portland is a lost city. The Communists have ruined it’s reputation forever. Tourism is non-existent and major businesses are moving out. Downtown large office buildings are all boarded up. The tax base the mayor counted on has disappeared
A friend of mine who used to work in downtown Portland recently said their employer sent a long email about the future once BatFlu is over. If you read between the lines they said they plan to do remote work for most employees 1-3/days per week, depending on job AND in a location with more outside space.
Basically, were not coming back to Portland. Were looking at a nearby more suburban city with easy highway access not overrun by crime, druggies and homeless.
Yep. They thought this was all do to Drumph and they would magically stop due to Xiden based on the anti-Drumph signs in the protests.
They never bothers to do ANY critical thinking on the protesters and their chants, demands, etc.
