America is getting closer to normalcy — it’s absurd to paint it any other way
NY Post ^ | 27 February A.D. 2021 | Post Editorial Board

New US COVID-19 cases are a quarter what they were six weeks ago, with the daily numbers dropping 15 percent to 25 percent a week. It’s time for the country to start moving rapidly to normalcy — restoring jobs and restoring lives. Caution is still in order, but only that.

Yet President Biden, after vowing the nation will have enough vaccine doses by July’s end to vaccinate every American, just said he only hopes for a return to normal by “next Christmas.” Huh?...

Biden’s chief medical adviser, Anthony Fauci, says the worst of the pandemic “might be” behind us. Yet he’s also telling Americans they’ll need to wear masks (maybe two at a time) at least through 2022 — even if they get vaccinated.

This is absurd: Our leaders should be nonstop pushing reluctant Americans to get jabbed so we can all get on with our lives...

More than 13 percent of Americans have gotten at least one dose, and the majority are health-care workers or those in nursing homes or other high-risk settings.

Add to that the number of us estimated to have already been infected — 35 percent of Los Angeles County and more than half of Miami-Dade County, for example — and you can see why Johns Hopkins prof Marty Makary predicts we’ll have herd immunity by April...

Perhaps it’s just that normalcy makes it too hard to justify the rush to pass a $1.9 trillion “relief” bill filled with Democrats’ pet projects. We’d rather not think cynical politics is behind Biden’s gloom, but it’s hard to see any other reason he’s denying that the pandemic’s end is staring us in the face.

Restoring jobs...

God these people have no clue how things work do they.

Thousands of businesses went under never to return.

How do you restore those jobs? Owners and workers alike were
devastated by the loss of those businesses.

Oh yeah, just put folks back to work.

We’ll see how Biden does with that, after killing tens of
thousands of more jobs recently.

It would only get close to normalcy if Dems are out on their ears.

Instead, they’re full control, and milking everything they can out of a) the scamdemic and b) the rioting Brownshirts.

That’s the press release, but I’m seeing the cases still high... second only to last month. Data folks, DATA.

What constitutes a "case"

40+ cycles of a test run over and over just to make sure it turns up positive?

Or test + symptoms?

Definitions are changing like FauXi's underwear.

Joseph Stolen inferred that we should be locked up, masked up, vaccinated, and remain in fear throughout the year and into 2022.
Until the pinkos get a beat down, there won’t be a “normal”.

Now to boot the Biden/Harris regime to the curb.

The definition of liberal normalcy is government dependency.

I'm willing to bet those numbers are on the low side. Everyone crammed into grocery stores last March?April with no distancing or masks. I bet 90% of those people were exposed in some manner.

What we do know is that Dem Governors or city leaders will sow walk lifting restriction as long as possible.

Here’s the data I’m seeing. (See the graphs at the bottom of the page.) Looks pretty good.

Really blessed to be healthy right now, and my prayers go out to anyone who has been impacted by this illness. Or whose business has been devastated.

There are some aspects of “normalcy” here in CA I do not necessarily want making a comeback — namely traffic and congestion. Which was virtually nil through most of lockdown.

Yes. Businesses went under, unfortunately. But what should happen now is free market capitalism. That ALWAYS works. Open up. Stop the stupid regulations. Allow the market to reset and innovate. I feel sorry for the people whose life's work evaporated. But what we need now is not stimulus checks, but for capitalism to work. If you need a stimulus, say that new business won't have income tax levied for two (five?) years. Let entrepreneurs go wild. Better than any government program.

I guess the best we can hope for at this juncture is that MAGA candidates are successful in winning back both the House and Senate next year.

Still, after ONLY one disastrous month of this regime, even that prospect is of little comfort.

You can capitalize the word data all you want, it doesn't mean that you are describing the data correctly. The data does show that the number of daily new cases hasn't been this low since late October.

Caution is not in order, there was never a reason for this abnormalcy in the first place.

THAT kind of language is the exact program they want .... and you will still wear a mask, even when the all clear is sounded.

Y'all been successfully terrorized.

Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics.

The vast majority of the public, and a solid majority of those any any sort of position of authority,
are too poorly trained to actually sort things out-—

and while asking for strict definitions and following things through would likely allow for decent decision making that could be explained and defended to the masses, the shifting sands make that pretty impossible in the present climate.

Babel.
