Gang?
Not that the cohort I hung with in HS was a gang. Too much.

Yes. The CDC lies. But “It’s for your own good.”
That what they actually think. Fauci even slips and admits it on occasion. I despise these 3 letter fed agencies. All of them.

If the contagiousness of people without symptoms does not drive the spread of SARS-COV-2, then restrictions like lockdowns and mask mandates on the general public don't make sense. So the almost 30M US cases are the result of idiots with symptoms not doing the decent thing and staying home but instead going out and circulating?
All the more reason to wear masks with that many sociopaths walking around.

Asymptomatic spread is usually a good thing, but as usual there’s no mention if anyone actually gets sick and, if so, how serious it is ( if serious at all!). Lots and lots of covid-cowards walking around out there!

There will be some spread with undetected symptoms. But generally, the milder the symptoms, the less contagious the carrier.

I’ve been suspecting all along that much of the transmission in the US HAS been due to people just refusing to stay home when they are sick. Even if you have the flu or a bad cold, you shouldn’t go out in public and expose others to your illness.
And a lot of people in certain occupations did have to work and probably infected others there. I’ve from the start of covid been very skeptical of this notion of widespread asymptomatic spread.

So the almost 30M US cases are the result of idiots with symptoms not doing the decent thing and staying home but instead going out and circulating? Some of both. The bus driver who made the video about a woman coughing openly on his bus, then he dies a week later. A lot of early spread was from sick travelers at events like the biotech conference and the Albany GA funeral. At the church choir practice everyone thought they were ok, but it only took one to infect 52. The meat packing plants probably had people who worked when they weren't feeling well rather than lose a paycheck.
Other than the households, bars and the special workplaces or events, what other spread is there?

Much use of “may” and “might” in the discussion of these studies. Keeps the fear alive — everyone can be a walking asymptomatic carrier.
