The Dems have said they will do away with the Senate filibuster, and all bills will only require a majority vote to pass in the Senate.
But don’t they need 60 votes to do away with the filibuster?
We’ll have to see what happens when the time comes, but Manchin and Sinema (in particular) have said that the filibuster isn’t going anywhere. Sinema’s people didn’t equivocate saying that she wouldn’t even entertain arguments to end the filibuster.
There are two Dems who are on record as opposing ending the legislative filibuster.
We will see how much their word is worth.
