Report: China Used Computer Chips to Spy on American P.C. Systems

"A Friday report from Bloomberg News revealed China was able to spy on American computer systems for a decade by supplying compromised chips to Super Micro Computer Inc. (Supermicro), one of America’s leading motherboard providers.

According to the report, U.S. intelligence agencies were aware of this wide-reaching Chinese espionage program but did not warn either Supermicro or its customers, because they prioritized monitoring China’s surveillance techniques and developing countermeasures against them........

Some years back, I had software that ID’d every attempt to put software on my computer. I took a screenshot of the attempts.
One was a pop-up of an Obama campaign org. trying to install cookies with a Free Republic thread about recipes in the background.

I’ve been trying to buy a new electric toaster.

We’ve been making them since the early 1900s, but judging by the reviews I’ve read during my search for a good one, ‘we’ don’t make them well, anymore.

That second part is BS. They did not warn anyone because they wanted to use it themselves!..................

A couple of Christmases ago, my daughter bought us a toaster from NFL that had our team’s logo and made a impression of it on the toasted bread as well.

It was used for a week before it broke..............
