Election board begins investigation of Warnock for work with Stacey Abrams's group

The Georgia State Election Board will continue an investigation into Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock for his work with a voter registration group founded by Stacey Abrams.

The board voted on Wednesday to refer the case to the attorney general’s office regarding the allegation that the New Georgia Project failed to submit voter registration applications by the necessary deadline in 2019. Republican Attorney General Chris Carr’s office will investigate the allegations and can bring charges or impose fines.

The state election board voted 3-0 to move the case forward, with the lone Democrat David Worley recusing himself from the vote. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is the chairman of the board, but he generally does not vote unless he needs to act as a tie-breaker.

The New Georgia Project has been accused of failing to deliver 1,268 voter registration applications to the Gwinnett County elections office within the 10-day window required by state election rules.

Warnock served as the chairman of the organization at the time of the alleged infraction, although he resigned in January after he was sworn into office.

And we’re supposed to believe this will lead somewhere?

We have diligently investigated ourselves, leaving absolutely no stone unturned, and we have found nothing wrong. You really didn’t expect us to find anything wrong, did you?

Damned, as Negan would say. This Stacy Abrams is more corrupt than Boss Tweed and the Chicago Daly/Blago/Emanuel/Lightfoot crews.

A couple years in jail would do a lot of good for her figure. Unfortunately it won’t have any effect on her soul since she has none.

At least no body will want to touch her in jail. Even “girl-friends” have some standards.

At least she wouldn't bankrupt the Golden Corrals in the Atlanta area if she did a stint in the slammer :D

A competent State GOP can rid us of both the Warnock and Stacey Adams problems in the 2022 midterms. So naturally with idiots like Kemp and Rafflesberger in charge, Stacey should start planning for a new buffet line in the governor’s mansion.

There is three possibilities on the GOP side in 2022 for the governor job.

Kemp says he’ll run again...across the state, I doubt if he can get more than 35-percent of the primary vote. Doug Collins has expressed some interest but it’s 50-50 on him running. Then you have this odd guy out there....former NCAA great/NFL great....Herschel Walker. Walker is presently only talking about running.

I suspect that Walker is probably the best overall choice and would be able to pull around 50-percent of the primary vote (if Collins doesn’t run).

In a Walker-Abrams race? Walker likely wins.

Why does anyone even waste time investigating important Democrats? Everyone knows from the onset the bad guys will skate.

I suppose the answer is there are people cashing large paychecks to do these "investigations". Just think of all the money Durham has pocketed from his "investigation".
