One of Donald Trump's impeachment attorneys has slammed House Democrats for presenting a 'spliced and manufactured' video as their first piece of evidence in the Senate trial on a charge of incitement to insurrection.

Attorney David Schoen was reacting to the first piece of evidence presented by House impeachment managers on Tuesday, a 14-minute video which inter-cut footage of the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot with Trump's speech earlier that day urging his supporters to 'fight'.

'It's very easy to stand up and show spliced and manufactured films. Literally the Democrats, the House managers, hired a large movie company and a large law firm to put together this thing,' Schoen said in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

I was surprised how professional it looked. I also wondered if some of the interior scenes were not shot someplace else *cough* *cough* They just didn't seem to be of the same caliber as the ones we've been seeing all month. Too steady.

It's obvious the camera angles were pre-planned. My favorite is when the cop is leading the "rioters" up the stairs, Who was the camera man? How did he know to be at that spot?

Which tells me clearly, that this has been planned for a very long time. And I bet, at the taxpayers expense.

Ignoring, of course, that this whole episode is unconstitutional, and done to prevent, they fear, the very real possibility, that Trump will run, and win another 4 years in office, supported by 70 million pissed off citizens.

If they think Trump is in this all by himself, Democrats are in for a rude awakening. The biggest mistake they made was making it painfully obvious to even the most unobservant Republican, that they are cheats, who will win at any cost, and think we will just roll over and take it.

They are very close, if not over, the invisible line in the sand where there behavior is no longer acceptable by the majority of society, not just Republicans, but also democrats.

Discussion around the dinner table is that now, even the democrat voters are ticked and see that perhaps they made a mistake in voting for OBiden.

Huh? I thought it was established that the assault on the Capitol Building started 15-20 minutes before the crowd listening to Trump had even started to walk down to the Capitol?

The defense should check the time stamp on all the footage and rerun the democrats video with an actual timeline reference.

I jusr want to add, the scene with the cop leading the rioters up the stairs was the first clip I saw on the news. Story was that cop was being overcome and was running for his life. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was filmed on Jan 5.
