He is simply wrong about whether President Trump's speech could possibly have caused the disorder at the capital building. It is more likely that Corey Booker's statement a couple of years earlier was in the minds of those who were acting in a disorderly way at the capital building.

Yes— he has not read the transcript of Trumps speech that day- which is a litany of each of the 6 State’s violation of Article II of the US Constitution in the conduct of Federal elections within the several States.
Rubio thinks he can game his way through this. He is not smart enough to do so, and his tangential answer proves he senses this, but hasn’t the ethical commitment to his Oath to do the right thing. Such is his Romney-bot animus against Trump. He will be primaried in FL. There are some great alternative real conservative Republicans who can beat him— even among the Cuban-American diaspora who think he has strayed from anti-Communism a great deal. Him and his backers and owners... the Fanjul sugar dynasty.
