Dem hypocrisy?Sen. “Leaky” Leahy demands independent prosecutor to target Trump. Now he's going to be a judge?
Conservative Base ^ | April 1, 2017 | Jim Kouri

In Jan of 2017 Leahy was demanding an independent counsel for the Russia Russia hoax. One of the first to do so-- And NOW-- this sucker is going to preside over an ILLEGAL trial of impeachment for a private citizen. HE himself is a national security disgrace. As regards Trump's actions- he is and has uncovered the chi-com bought Senators and Congressment (of which Leahy is ONE-- on the chinese list-- for certain). And now he thinks he can judge to protect is own sorry slobbering drunken a@@.

In the article:

"Senator Patrick Leahy was annoyed with the Reagan administration’s military strategy in the 1980s. At the time he was vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Therefore, “Leaky Leahy,’ threatened to sabotage classified strategies he didn’t like.

Leahy “inadvertently” disclosed a top-secret communications intercept during a 1985 television interview. The intercept had made possible the capture of the Arab terrorists who had hijacked the cruise ship Achille Lauro and murdered a American citizen. But Leahy’s leak cost the life of at least one Egyptian “asset” involved in the operation.

In July 1987, it was reported that Leahy leaked secret information about a 1986 covert operation planned by the Reagan administration to topple Libya’s Moammar Gaddhafi. US intelligence officials stated that Leahy sent a written threat to expose the operation directly to then-CIA Director William Casey. Weeks later, news of the secret plan turned up in the Washington Post, causing it to be aborted.

A year later, as the Senate was preparing to hold hearings on the Iran-Contra scandal, Leahy had to resign his Intelligence Committee post after he was caught leaking secret information to a reporter. The Vermont Democrat’s Iran-Contra leak was considered to be one of the most serious breaches of secrecy in the committee’s 28-year history."

Might point out that this slobbering a@@hole does not have the SECURITY clearance to hear the evidence that backs up Trump's NON INCITING speech on Jan. 6th. It comes from Cyber Command-- and would definitely be brought into evidence of his logical protest of proof of a STOLEN election. Criminal acts by DEMOCRATS putting him on trial!! Hah-- this jerk has no idea how much he is going to be flayed.

Here’s the Impartial Judge:

Comment Of Senator Patrick Leahy On The Riot At The U.S. Capitol
The criminals who injured people, defiled the Nation’s Capitol, and destroyed thousands of dollars’ worth of property should be prosecuted for their felonies. And Senators tonight should and are reconvening without delay to resume the electoral count.

President Trump doesn’t want to accept defeat, so he instead promotes delusional conspiracy theories and encourages felonies. But the Senate has a job to do. We must protect the Constitution and prepare for the new President. It’s the American way, and the American people deserve nothing less.

Does anyone know for sure if he loses his vote if he Presides?

Wade was President Pro Tempore but Chief Justice Chase presided over that particular impeachment trial.

Perhaps Mark Levine, who was in the Reagan Administration, could speak to the ethical qualities of the drunk Leahy. Mark- if you’re on here... or someone who can ping him— please DO!

Leahy— just neck deep in the big muddy swamp and the big schmuckie schumer says to press on. (an olde Vietnam war protest song about LBJ). Lunacy of this behaviour is because they are scared spitless about what is coming out and has come out about them.

they are in NO position, to judge our President. The military should be paying attention. The Marxists are bringing down our Republic.

More from the Impartial Drunk:

January 6, 2021, will forever mark a historic day for our nation. Not simply because our beloved Capitol building — the very heart of our democracy — laid under siege. Not simply because rioters stormed the Senate and House floors, assaulting Capitol Police officers and leaving a wake of destruction along the way. Not simply because the President of the United States encouraged his supporters to commit these felonies — to march to the Capitol and “to fight,” in his words. No, today will also be remembered because of what happened before all of that. Today, over a hundred Members of the House of Representatives, and a dozen Senators, supported a ploy to deprive the states and the American people of their constitutional role to choose our next president. A ploy that amounts to nothing less than an assault on our constitutional republic.

Even more from the Impartial Drunk Dinosaur:

President Trump serves no one but himself. He is not a custodian or guardian of our democracy. He is a man who’s every decision is driven by his shallow self-interest. I did not expect him to be gracious in defeat. I expected him to throw tantrums. I’m not even surprised that his rhetoric has incited violence, as it has today. That’s who President Trump is; we have all known that for some time. I am surprised and disappointed that so many members of this body have let it get this far.

Leahy was one of the senators who was targeted by the anthrax poisoner in 2001. Too bad the anthrax perp missed and Leahy survived. Leahy is now 80 years old and has been in the senate since 1975, 46 years. He learned absolutely nothing from his brush with death in 2001.

The private citizen Trump cannot be tried by the Senate. And Leahy in no manner can be a “judge” not even for a sitting President (which is their assumption in “coming to trial”) The goal is to prevent Trump from running for office— which also, is a Bill of Attainder specifically banned in the US Constitution. Banned for a private citizen, unless they want to acknowledge Trump is still.... President. In which case they have not business trying to stop him running since the law prevents more than two terms (just saying in this game of idiotic cockfighting.

Point out again— Leahy has NO clearance for any election Cyber Command evidence of election digital fraud (transmitted from several foreign countries). And Leahy is on the chi-com influenced list— from the chi-coms themselves. Really multiple stupid, and desperate optics- media hard pressed to sanitize this fecal matter.

The left will keep pushing until someone stops them. They don’t care about the constitution, the law or even the country for that matter. They inly care about power.

Your first sentence makes the rest of your post meaningless

So, does anyone have actual legal knowledge about whether Leahy can vote if he presides over the impeachment trial.

Nope. When the sad day come in 50 years, unless Trump decides on cremation, they will dig him up and re-try him. All the DNC has is their relentless psychotic hate.

Trump is not President.

If Roberts indicates he will not preside it means he does not subscribe to the theory that you look back to the position at time of the event.

I told you weeks ago they were going to do this after Trump left office and you didn’t believe me.

There is some room for them to put a stop to this but I think Dems are too far gone in the process.

And the anthrax investigation was headed by Russiagate’s own Robert Mueller.

Btw, a previous Chief Justice did indicate he would not preside over an impeachment when radical Senators caused a problem. He knew that they couldn’t go forward if he didn’t preside.

THIS is not THAT.

Bill of Attainder

Definition: A legislative act that singles out an individual or group for punishment without a trial.

The Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3 provides that: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law will be passed."

"The Bill of Attainder Clause was intended not as a narrow, technical (and therefore soon to be outmoded) prohibition, but rather as an implementation of the separation of powers, a general safeguard against legislative exercise of the judicial function or more simply - trial by legislature."
U.S. v. Brown, 381 U.S. 437, 440 (1965).

The military should be paying attention. The Marxists are bringing down our Republic.

The optimal point for that would appear to have been when the Joint Session was abruptly concluded and the obvious fraud was ignored. But even now, with China accelerating its aggression...
