The article references that the dad was a member of the Texas Freedom Force, and refers to is as a “far right wing extremist militia.” The TFF isn’t a militia at all. They are a political group that is pushing legislation to protect Texas monuments. The TFF has nothing to do with anything outside the state of Texas. The TFF states that the person in question was a member who registered and paid his dues online, but never attended any meetings or functions.
This father may or may not be in a lot of trouble. The family is permanently broken. As for the brat, if he was mine I would not have threatened him, but I would disown and evict him - immediately. Calling the police on family is not okay, unless Dad committed a serious assault or worse.
That’s the beauty of red flag laws. Every family now has its ideological finks.

Yeah, and that same FBI lied to the FISA court multiple times, ignored the fact that Hillary Clinton destroyed emails, laptops and phones that were under subpoena, had Hunter Biden’s laptop in their possession for a year and never said a word, had a voluminous file on the Seth Rich murder and denied it for five years, etc. Yet has the FBI ever had their eyes on Antifa or BLM as they destroyed property (both government and state0 worth millions of dollars?
