Read up a bit on the election of 1876. Tilden almost certainly got cheated in that one. Yes, there was certainly voter intimidation going on in the disputed southern states, but the actual count of legally cast ballots almost certainly favored Tilden over Hayes.
Guess I’ll just say “Bless your heart!” instead.
Politics is a blood sport and it’s easy to ramp up the passion. Good to get a “whoa horsey” reminder every once in while.
Maybe there can be a new posting category called “MMA Cage”, where all that is allowed (minus the FBI door knocker stuff). A standard warning at the top of each thread:

Can I still say mean things about Republican sell outs as long as I don’t cuss and wish (really) bad things on them? Aside from wishing them out of office. I wish them long and happy retirements. With maybe some toenail fungus
In that vein, I owe Rummychick a public apology for giving her heck on masks.
We have a difference of opinion, and I persued that uneccesarily.
When my wife had a covid scare (temp now normal, negative test) Rummychick was a perfect lady in spite of my previous misbehavior.
I will endeavor to be a better human in the future.
There are times when images posted (I have not personally posted an image on FR in well over a decade) include comments or expressions which are an important aspect of the message.
I feel that exceptions ought to be considered as permissible under certain conditions.
Still, it is not my site and so I do and shall continue to abide here with your policy.

Reports are that General Washington went ballistic following the Battle of Monmouth. Word is that Troops were stunned at the General’s use of ‘colorful metaphors’ towards his Officers. and that they were shocking to Soldiers of the Continental Army in earshot.

I hate that we live in a country where communists can hold up bloody decapitated effigies of President Trump on Twitter and act out plays in Central Park in which he is murdered but we can’t reciprocate or else government goons will come knocking at your door. I don’t fault you, but it’s just a reminder of where we’re headed. As they say, the USSR collapsed under the weight of their endless contradictions.
