It’s an illegitimate procedure regardless. Go shred the Constitution for toilet paper, and have done. Stop quibbling over moot points.

All regimes need their pretexts, its what they use to manipulate the week minded and instills fear in the cowardly.

These people are controlled by their visceral hatred of Mr Trump. Nancy’s and Chuck’s emotions, and those of many other (s)elected representatives and senators, have gotten away from them. Constitution, what’s that? Faithfully protect and defend the Constitution? Something is very wrong as these **stards not only claim that they are, they will denounce anyone questioning them as enemies of the country.

The Supreme Court has shown that the document is irrelevant many times during our country’s history, and many have suffered a loss of liberty as well as died as a result of its holdings.

The near term focal point now comes down to CJ Roberts - will he or won’t he? Perhaps by avoiding to allow cases on election fraud and unconstitutional actions by several states he thought it was all clear sailing on a sunny day in a post Trump presidency. Maybe Schumer can threaten Roberts with physical harm as Chuck apparently got away with it last time he threatened 2 justices.

Correct !!!!

Congress had no authority to impeach and try a private citizen. Roberts has nothing to do with it. My question would be, why didn't Paul make this point?

As far as I’m concerned the constitutions already did. We do not have free speech because we are attacked. We do not if you have freedom from religion because we are now being attacked in our places of worship see Saint John’s church in Ohio. We do not uphold election law. Our Supreme Court does not choose to do its job because it doesn’t want to get into messy or political decisions. Our Supreme Court does not want to hear a case bought before it by the sitting president of the United States. So as a result we can talk about the constitution but as far as I’m concerned the constitution is already a document that is not nor will ever be followed again

Justice Roberts—The man who saddled us with Obamacare—will be there, robes and all. The left has something on him and will force him to preside. His true colors are on display. The Fact that the Court didn’t hear Trumps case—not rule on it—just used a loophole to skate out of the bitter Election grab by the Democrats. Mark my words—this will not be a profile in courage moment for him and will stain his robes for years to come. With him in charge—no need to pack the courts.

In the impeachment of Andrew Johnson the Senate overrode several of Chief Justice Salmon Chase’s rulings. In response Chase threatened to withdraw from the proceeding knowing it would halt the proceedings as they constitutionally could not continue without his presence.

Roberts needs to recuse himself, as he is a conspirator to the steal when he refused to take the Pennsylvania case.

Trumps lawyers should put that SOB on the witness stand.

“It’s an illegitimate procedure regardless.”

EXACTLY! Based, as it is, on the null and void result of an unconstitutional process in The House, wherein hundreds of sitting Representatives outright VIOLATED their Oath of Office.

Oh, but CNN et. al. don’t got no time fo dat truck, ‘cuz dey in fo da big doin’s what’s gwyna sock it to da Orange Man.

Speaking of which... all this Orange Man talk... Da Hell are the Irish? Oughta be a REAL brouhaha boiling up someplace; maybe along about St. Pattie’s Day...
