Federal law enforcement agents have arrested a Florida Man and charged him with trying to organize an armed response to pro-President Donald Trump protesters expected at the state Capitol on Sunday.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that the FBI arrested Daniel Baker of Tallahassee on Friday.
Authorities say Baker issued a “call to arms” on social media to recruit people in a plot to create an armed circle around protesters and trap them in the Capitol complex “using firearms.”
“Extremists intent on violence from either end of the political and social spectrums must be stopped, and they will be stopped,” said Lawrence Keefe, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. “The diligent work in this case by the FBI and other public safety organizations has averted a crisis with this arrest, and we will not stop in our efforts to detect, deter, and disrupt anyone else planning to incite or commit violence.”
Court documents describe a series of threats of violence and a prediction of civil war Baker made on social media.

Baker is described as anti-Trump, anti-government, anti-white supremacists and anti-police.
He’s also a former U.S. Army Airborne infantryman who was kicked out of the service with an other-than-honorable discharge in 2007 after going AWOL before being deployed to Iraq.
Wonder if he was one of Cindy Sheehan’s dupes? She was always snuggled up to Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and, I think, Iran’s Ahmadinejad.

I am sure the media and liberals are as disappointed as can be that it wasn’t a Trump supporter they could blame it on.

This seems to be a common tactic now to cover up the crimes and violence of the left. I know someone who lives in NYC and says there are leftist “disturbances” going on all all over the city, sometimes resulting in property damage and sometimes in clashes with the police - and they’re never reported. He only knows about them because he’s a cabbie and will sometimes turn a corner and find himself right in the middle of them. He gets out right away.
They’re all over the city. Rioters shut down the Brooklyn Bridge, they had a small riot in Union Square, gangs have filled individual streets and carried out assaults. Silence on the part of the press. He said it’s like living in a nightmarish post-apocalyptic movie where all order has broken down. The whole city is under attack by BLM and Antifa, who even march around in formation with shields and weapons.
But it’s never reported unless it absolutely has to be (somebody gets killed or seriously injured or a passerby makes a video and puts it some place public where it can’t be denied). However, it sometimes appears on the traffic warning system he uses, so he knows people are reporting it, at least informally to other drivers as on Waze.
He’s lived in NYC all his life, even through that dangerous, lawless period in the 70s and early 80s, and he says the situation now is unimaginable.
