House Republicans could face investigations and potential removal for their involvement in the Capitol attacks
Democratic leaders from North Carolina’s western-most district are calling for the expulsion of freshman Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn, alleging his "seditious behavior" helped incite the "insurrection" at the U.S. Capitol last week.
State Democrats from Cawthorn’s 11th District have written a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi asking for an investigation into the Republican congressman. They claim there was an ethics violation for "violent language" on his Twitter feed leading up to the unrest last week at the Capitol.
"Mr. Cawthorn needs to be held accountable for his seditious behavior...

This demon is pushing for a hot civil war....
It just might get it too....
Somebody bought them a thesaurus for Christmas. They’ve been practicing sedition for year but just now learned the word for it
I grow weary of fighting these people. They pull the rope one way.we pull it the other. Sometimes it’s best to let go.
“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”

OK, just so everyone knows. The House or Senate can vote to expel a member, but it takes 2/3rds majority. So, that’s not going to happen. An expelled House member can run for the seat he or she was just expelled from. (Senators are usually replaced by state governors).
Adam Clayton Powell (D-Harlem NY) was expelled for taking bribes. He was promptly re-elected and the House refused to seat him, but SCOTUS said they had to.
So expulsion from the House is just a waste of time for everyone involved. However, time spent on expulsion attempts will keep the House from other things, which might be a blessing.
The problem is the Uniparty controls the Legions, the Praetorian Guard, The Mob, and the Militia. All we have is our faith and our guns.
This “civil war” will not be in the same pattern of the 1st CW. This will play out more along the lines of the English civil war of the 1640s.
I think it will be more like the Balkans in the 90s.
Texas alone is 1.6 times the size of Iraq. Afghanistan is about the same size as Texas. Those assets have not been able to control those two nations for the last two decades.
And our efforts there are not hamstrung by standing right on top of our own logistical tail.
It would take a secession movement from Texas
You’re missing my point. I am saying that our military has been stymied by two backwards nations, the size of Texas for two decades.
The US military is not capable of crushing us here at home even if they brought home and used every soldier, sailor, airman and Marine on earth.
And that doesn’t even account for the economy imploding as a direct result and their logistics and suppliers being everywhere completely unprotected.
It’s something they should actually be proud of, that they are incapable of widespread domestic suppression.
I agree
This is a silly post Pelosi has no authority to remove a Republican congressmen. If she did she would have done it long ago.
Our congressional representatives do not serve at the pleasure of the Speaker of the House.
This is silly.
I thought that was congress's motto.
it’s not?
Same motto as the media and other allies.
Takes 291 votes to expel a member of the House. Good luck with that one.
Congress has become the mafia. My understanding is that Pelosi got her start in politics with help from the mafia, but she is just off her nut now.
