Major Twist in US Capitol Storming Might Have Gutted the Democrats' Narrative on Trump Impeachment
Townhall ^ | 01/14/2021 | Matt Vespa

President Trump was impeached yesterday by a mostly party-line vote. Ten House Republicans did cross the picket line to back the Democratic Party’s unhealthy fetish with impeaching this president. They did it using the Russian collusion hoax. And now, this riot that erupted on Capitol Hill last week. The chaos occurred on January 6 when Congress was certifying the 2020 Electoral College results. Pro-Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol. Five people died. It renewed an impeachment push from Democrats. More Republicans were going to back it. In the Senate, Mitch McConnell reportedly is not all that upset over this current move and did not rule out convicting the president. Did Trump mean to urge his supporters to storm the Hill? No. But it doesn't take much after a contentious election with mountains of voter fraud allegations and years of populist rage to create a situation for things to boil over.

So, after the articles were passed today after a day of political theater from these clowns, getting reports that this whole incident may have been pre-planned. Yes, our great and hopelessly anti-Trump FBI finally came in promptly to drop this development after the Democrats had set this remove Trump train into motion. And of all outlets, CNN was the one to report on it:

Evidence uncovered so far, including weapons and tactics seen on surveillance video, suggests a level of planning that has led investigators to believe the attack on the US Capitol was not just a protest that spiraled out of control, a federal law enforcement official says.

Among the evidence the FBI is examining are indications that some participants at the Trump rally at the Ellipse, outside the White House, left the event early, perhaps to retrieve items to be used in the assault on the Capitol.

A team of investigators and prosecutors are also focused on the command and control aspect of the attack, looking at travel and communications records to determine if they can build a case that is similar to a counterterrorism investigation, the official said.

“Promising” to impeach before she even knew what the impeachable offenses were going to be https://t.co/pOdhPcOxmP— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) January 14, 2021

So... they just impeached Trump for something he didn’t do. https://t.co/N9rTWWy3sh— RBe (@RBPundit) January 13, 2021

So Trump didn’t incite it? https://t.co/2vNQNMy89K— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) January 13, 2021

But wait, Congress is moving to impeach Trump on the basis that he incited the riot and fomented insurrection, right? That was the allegation lobbed by the Left. But this development at the FBI sort of torpedoes the incitement aspect of the narrative, no? There’s a host of nutty stuff going on here. We have Democrats alleging Republican members of Congress gave these Capitol Building rioters “reconnaissance” tours prior to the January 6 rally. We have some alleging that Capitol Police were involved. It’s an inside job—all of this being lobbed without any evidence. Will something be found to corroborate any of this? Maybe—but as of now, you simply cannot toss out allegations that explosive without proof. One could argue that’s peddling…conspiracy theories. Either way, it could be that the entire narrative behind impeaching Trump just got gutted—but it doesn’t matter. First, Trump is gone in less than a week. Second, while there will be more GOP votes in the Senate for this current motion, it won’t reach the two-thirds majority for a conviction and Trump will be able to run again in 2024.

The mob that entered the Capitol did not “break off” from the far larger peaceful group. The peaceful group of around 100,000 + or - was located between the Washington Monument and the Ellipse, in sight and sound of Trump. I was near the Washington Monument, and watched the Jumbotron screen set up facing south. At my location, Trump was just barely audible through the PA system.

It’s around 1.5 to 2 miles (depending on your starting point) down the Mall to the Capitol, about a half-hour brisk walk. The attack on the Capitol began 20 minutes before Trump’s speech ended. IOW, the Capitol attack mob was already in place, and did not “break away” from those watching and listening to President Trump. Due to the crowds, wireless service was essentially non-existent all day. It would not have been possible for the Capitol invasion group to have heard President Trump’s speech that took place 2 miles away.

The attackers were already in position to storm the Capitol, regardless of Trump’s speech.

Nothing would have changed the Democrats narrative. They made up the story and they would stick to it no matter what.

Sort of like saying, "Your grandfather made a complimentary remark to his Japanese gardner about the Japanese emperor on Dec. 6, 1941 - and went on to explain that the Japanese Empire was right to object to the oil embargo which America had imposed against it. He even said that the Japanese should 'fight' to re-assert their sovereignty. The very next day, the attack on Pearl Harbor came! Your grandfather was thus guilty of "Incitement!"

They choose Truth over facts. The Narrative is all they care about.

Not if you’re a democrat. It proves that Orange Man is not just bad, but evil, having not just incited insurrection but planned it.

The attackers were antifa. Right wingers had nothing to gain by stopping the presentation of fraud evidence.

Pro-Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol.

No they didn't storm the Capitol, they were let in. There is video of police waving people in.

In order to get into the Capitol you have to have a time-stamped ticket requested months in advance. The only way people could get in without a ticket would be if someone waved them in, which the Capitol police did.

Why did the police let them in? I am sure the natural idea for the Trump supporters was to go near the Capitol Building, and when the police wave them in and when a door is open what is anyone supposed to think?

So in France they are calling Biden a hero and they fantasize in totem and taboo fantasy that he risks assassination etc.... is there something they know we do not?

If the DC riot show trial does not do it, they obviously have other means to notch it up. Secretary of the army is already condemning this protest as not free speech ... hint hint.

They will just say that Trump incited the riot - not by the speech at the rally - but by his rhetoric in the weeks after the election.

But the left will never ask whether the claim that America is "institutionally racist" had anything to do with inciting last summer's BLM riots.

“We have some alleging that Capitol Police were involved. It’s an inside job—all of this being lobbed without any evidence. “

“Without evidence” in liar language means it is true.

There were videos of Capitol Police opening barriers, motioning people to enter, welcoming them in, following them up the stairs, and holding the chamber doors wide open.

Some people - maybe a couple of hundred - fought with police, overpowered them, and DID storm the Capitol. Later on, others were let in.

That’s just a terrible attempt at a simile.

Actually, it's an analogy.

A simile would be a statement like, "He charged into the room like a bull."

It is an apt analogy because, if what the FBI says is true (i.e., that the unlawful parts of the protest display a high level of organization, and that the subsequent illegal acts thus couldn't have been triggered by Trump's statements early that same day), President Trump cannot be guilty of Incitement.
