It wouldn’t have mattered if the pipe bombs were diversionary to pull first responders away from the Capitol Building. Capitol Police Officers opened the gates and doors, and waved, and welcomed people inside. Herridge uses the term “breach Capitol Hill.” You don’t have to breach what you’ve been invited into.

A reasonable timeline of events. Yes, it is the NY times but conservative journalists helped to put this timeline together.

What I learned over the past couple of days is that some knucklehead guy was out on the streets the night before telling trump supporters "we need to take the capitol" and they we yelling at him "Fed! Fed! Fed!" as if to say he was a plant.

The same guy was right there when they breached the first barrier just before 1:00PM. Video is available. Unsurprisingly he is not seen running toward the capitol

He needs to be identified and held accountable.

Well, a few lines into the Times article:

"For weeks, Mr. Trump had urged his supporters to go to Washington to stop the certification of the election results, and several simultaneous rallies were planned for Wednesday."

"...to stop the certification of the election results..."

When did President Trump say that?

Good point. Capitol Police aren't responsible for protecting the RNC/DNC. That would be the responsibility of the D.C. police department.

yes I skipped their narratives and just watched the videos and the timelines.

There are two weird anomalies. The first is the "fed" guy who was on the streets the night before saying "we need to take the capitol" and he was there at the first breach. The second was the reporter from japan who analyzed the shooting in the capitol building.
