A Georgia man charged in connection with last week’s violent US Capitol riot has since died, according to a local report.
Christopher Stanton Georgia, 53, died at his home in Alpharetta on Saturday, Atlanta-based outlet 11Alive News reported.
An Alpharetta Police report obtained by the outlet did not list a cause of death, but said that Georgia’s death was “under investigation.”
Officers removed two rifles from Georgia’s home, the report said.
He had been charged with unlawful entry and violating a citywide curfew that took effect at 6 p.m. Wednesday, the night of the deadly siege in the nation’s capital.

The filings, from the Superior Court of D.C., state that Georgia and several others stayed out past the curfew and failed to disperse after officers ordered them to scram at around 7:15 p.m.

Did some online searching and saw Antifa operatives trying to dox him and were seeking to verify his employer so they could get him fired. Very sad... say prayers for his loved ones.

According to documents from the Superior Court of DC, Georgia is charged with attempting to “enter certain property, that is, the United States Capitol Grounds, against the will of the United States Capitol Police.”
Documents show that around 7:15 p.m. on the night of the riots, Georgia, along with several others, were outside in violation of a District-wide 6 p.m. curfew. When officers gave several warnings for the group to disperse, documents said they did not. Georgia and the group were placed under arrest as a result.

If one of the rifles were possibly used to shoot him/himself, then removing the firearms would be part of the investigation.

How were officers in GA part of the investigation into what happened in D.C.?
And again under what authority were the rifles removed ? Just doing an investigation does not qualify.
