Madison Cawthorn, 25, wants to create 'new Republican Party' that inspires young people

Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., beat out a candidate backed by President Trump and the Washington establishment to become the youngest incoming member of Congress at age 25.

So he arrived in Washington beholden to no one and determined to shake up the Republican Party through new messaging, new recruits and new ways to fundraise.

"My election was really a referendum on the establishment," Cawthorn told Fox News in a recent interview. "They're really sending me up here to fight against that."

Winning the seat without the help of the GOP establishment has given Cawthorn a sense of freedom from the traditional power structures in Washington and a motivation to help other young patriots break the mold, too.

"I don't owe anybody except the constituents of my district my victory," Cawthorn said. "And so because of that, I'll serve them no matter what. And I think that's how it should be."

VIDEO: Cawthorn wants to "brand a new Republican Party" that is bold and inspirational. Republicans can no longer be the party of "no" and dodge thorny issues like health care and the environment. Instead, the GOP should be "thought leaders" on solutions. Republicans also have been too hung up on social issues and should become libertarian on personal matters. The exception is abortion, which requires "very loud" opposition, he said. "I really want the Republican Party to be bolder," Cawthorn said. "I want us to be a big tent party that says I don't care if you're gay. I don't care what your religion is. As long as you believe in freedom and believe in our founding principles, you're welcome in our party." "I really want our party defined as the Freedom Party,"

My view:

A Patriot Party must be pushed for by the 75 million Trump voters.

Create any party you want, nothing matters unless the election process is secured and fraud free.

Nancy Pelosi just showed us where the “I don’t care if you’re gay” philosophy leads.

A 25-year-old Congress critter? He should keep his mouth shut and his ears open.

Dreamers here said in 2016 the Dem Party will soon be finished due to repulsion over splinter groups who want Socialism, reparations, climate restrictions on driving....

Now we could have a powerful Dem Party with locked in Dominion vote results of victory. And new style Whigs, Greenback Party, Uncle Sam Party and various well meaning splinter parties, each with a laughably small percentage of the 70% Dem vote margin victories in all states and the US.

A Nightmare. Like France and Israel. Israel has ultra-Orthodox observant Jews sometimes making alliances with pro-Arab groups to battle the majority in the Knesset and thus each get their own special issue accepted.

A lot of people applauding Bernie Sanders for the $2,000 check amount that he and Trump wanted but Mitch the Corrupt Turtle thwarted. Who thought we’d see that?

Things like this make me wonder if Trump actually did lose this election outright.

For all his talk about “draining the swamp,” he often found himself quite comfortable with its denizens.

When the God fearing founders of this nation came up with the Republican vs democratic form of governmental representation. They considered that groups we call political partys once elected to a given political office. Could place their groups control and interest above the common good and benefit of the nation once elected to a legislative, executive or judicial office.

But would work together for the common interest and that would happen by taking the oath of office.

In an era when a man’s word was considered sacred They truly believed that upon election. requiring taking the oath of office which swears loyalty to abide and support the constitution would take precedence and avert any fractious direction super ceding any political position taken by the group that the office holder associated with before entering .It took the democrat convention of 2012 when they attempted to remove any reference to God, “Our Creator,” to clearly demonstrate that belief no longer applied and when one takes that oath today it means nothing.

Considering the massive debt both parties have hoisted upon their shoulders . . . a debt which likely will not even scratch the surface for at least a couple of generations, if at all ever - I don’t see them being interested in any kind of political party.

Great Idea but Democrats already control voting from start to finish.

Maybe in a few decades when socialism has run its course.
