Maybe a dreamer. Time to hit the alarm and get up. We've moved to a different world from the relatively tame one you suggest. This is how actual wars start. I'm not saying it's going to be fun or short, but it's on.
The problem is leadership. Disorganized "militias" running around trying to "do something" isn't going to be effective. I've had discussions with church friends and local farmers about this. Who or what would be our target? We're all talking about "going to the ammo box," but against what?
There's this giant nebulous entity in DC. Flooding DC as an organized Army isn't going to end well, but relying on states, even conservative stalwarts like many in the midwest and the south, appears to be a fool's errand as well. That leaves a bunch of disparate lone wolves to do what? Against who?
I want to be a part of something bigger than me, but I'm not going to put my neck out to lead something. I have no combat experience and no aspirations to leadership in that manner. I think a majority of Americans are in the same boat. Who will stand and lead?
