An official cause of death has yet to be determined.

Samuel Little, the prolific serial killer who was serving three consecutive life sentences, is dead, authorities said Wednesday.

Little died at a hospital shortly before 5 a.m. local time, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement. An official cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. He was 80.

He was convicted in 2014 of killing three women in the late 1980s, after being linked to the murders through DNA matched to evidence found at the crime scenes.

Subsequently, Little confessed to strangling 93 victims between 1970 and 2005, according to the FBI. The FBI said investigators believed his confessions were credible and had verified 50 as of October 2019.

One of his suspected victims was just identified in October. Patricia Parker, who was a 30-year-old mother from Chattanooga, Tennessee, was found slain and dumped alongside a Georgia freeway nearly 40 years ago. Authorities said they believe Little killed her.

Little's life of crime spanned decades, according to a 2018 FBI report. He was first arrested in 1956 and displayed a "dark, violent streak" in his crimes, which included shoplifting, fraud, drug charges, solicitation and breaking and entering, the FBI said.

He spent a term in prison prior to his conviction on murder charges in 2014, serving two years in California state prison from 1985 to 1987 for assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment.

In 2012, Little was arrested at a Kentucky homeless shelter and extradited to California on a narcotics charge, the FBI said.

As horrible as this man was, govs of ny mich, and other states that sent sick people into nursing homes to kill the elderly by the 1000’s makes Sam Little look like an amateur. Sadly History just shrugs it’s shoulders at the governor’s dastardly deeds apparently- 1000s’ and 1000’s and 1000’s of families lost their loved ones because of what these irresponsible governors did. Janice dean, the Weather Machine as she is known, lost both her inlaws to covid because her governor recklessly and reprehensibly sent sick people into nursing homes- knowing full well that the elderly would become infected and die

California likes murderers. Otherwise would they protect them from the death penalty?

I guess that when a murder suspect admits to/is found guilty of killing 100 people, then they might consider something other than just a life sentence , such as a no-bail release for good behavior in between killings.

Should have happened sooner... at the end of a needle... since we can’t drop cyanide capsules into acid anymore and old sparky is retired... but since he liked strangulation, a rope with a short drop would have been nice too. Let him experience what his victims felt as their last minutes passed.

One of the most intriguing serial killers.

Casual drawings found in his cell turned out to be drawings of his victims. The discovery led to countless murders to be solved.

... 1000s’ and 1000’s and 1000’s of families lost their loved ones because of what these irresponsible governors did.

I don’t think it was "irresponsible." I think it was coldly, calculatingly done. Consider that the greatest Medicaid expenses to state governments are for elder care in end-stage care, what better way to avoid those expenses than to remove as many potential Medicaid elders on the dole as possible. This is the way progressive governors think: "If these elder citizens with their costly medical conditions die fast, the medical bills will be lower than if they stick around costing my government budget month-after-month." So why not send in infectious patients to "recover" from a disease that affects the elderly most grievously of all age demographics... and for each "recovering" patient you send to the nursing homes, send five body bags (they did, you know!) along with the extra medical supplies for "special COVID19 recovery care). How many body bags does the "recovered" patient gonna require when he "recovers?" This sending of body bags shows their hand, depraved indifference for the consequences to other residents and staff!

Wouldn’t “prolific serial killer” be an oxymoron?

In his younger days.

I think there are a lot of black serial killers, who don't get caught simply because of the high homicide rate in black communities, and low cooperation rate with police.

Jis first convictions sound like he was just rioting against injustice and taking drugs. Both of these activities are harmless and blessed today.
So by ignoring these rioters and drug users.. are we letting serial killers loose.

Add Dewine to this list too. Over half of the deaths in Ohio have been nursing home patients. So what do these POS uni-party people do? They give the first round of the vaccine to healthcare workers most of whom are not in any real high risk group. They're letting the elderly die.

This guy was prolific but he only got 25. Never went to trial here, as he “transferred his case to a higher court.”
