You know folks, I’m not sold on the idea, this was a swell
thing to do in 1943.

cleansing of this nation that hasn’t nearly peaked yet if
I’m reading things accurately.
There is literally no stopping the people who are now going
around looking for any reason whatsoever to purge something
from our national conscience.
I don’t think we should be buying into this nonsense.
Each of you know we’re the ultimate target of these people
and the demands are going to get more outlandish as the
months go by.
We need to be thinking about slowing this nonsense down,
rather than trying to find some reasoning behind the purge.

It’s disappointing to see history literally be erased, one small piece of stone at a time. While I know that Nazism was evil, obviously, we showed considerable bigness by giving them gravestones which reflected their beliefs. We damn well would not have been given the same courtesy if Germany had won the war.

Notes would arrive at his desk, he would re-write whatever story was necessary, then all the scraps of paper and any notes were put into the memory hole where they would be carried by warm currents of air to a furnace deep in the center of the building.

The PLA destroyed 6,000 Tibetan temples in 1959-1961.
In 1999 the Taliban blew up the Bamyan Buddhas.
In 1975 Pol Pot and his henchmen devised Year Zero to signify the end of all previous culture.
There are countless examples of intentional cultural destruction throughout history, all with the same goal which is to destroy history and install "the new way," whatever it might be.
In America's statue destruction last summer (but long preceding and following it to this day) it became patently obvious that America was and is under domestic attack by Marxists, Communists, and just plain old anarchists. Their stated intention and their progrom is to destory American history and culture.
Simple as that. And they're not hiding it at all.

I agree. It is entirely possible that the deceased POW’s themselves would have preferred not to be buried under a swastika, but that isn’t the way history happened.
Note this is not to make any kind of equivalence between the swastika and the US Flag. This is just to illustrate a point.
What if we had POW’s who died and were buried overseas under the flag of the USA? The way they are teaching the history of the US these days, I could see some other country removing that headstone with a US Flag inscribed because America is a hateful, racist country.
I’m with you 100%, DO. This is not being done out of a patriotic, honorable or moral conscience.
