For clarity, the first stimulus package offered $1200. When averaged over the number of days between the first stimulus and this new one, the average taxpayer was provided $0.20 per day. Compare that to the average paycheck for a congressperson which is roughly $450.00 per day.

And where do you think TAXES will go if we assume another trillion in debt? You have enough financial problems right now—how about paying a lot more taxes in addition to what’s on your plate now?
——————————
Been unemployed since March. I don’t give a rats ass about taxes. I’m one of those hardcore unemployed with absolutely no chance at gainful employment, no thanks to Mumbai Mike, Kolkata Kamala and the rest of the Cheap Indian Labor Express Congress. Thousands of resumes sent out, all to be stopped by the wall of Indian recruiters, hiring managers and engineers.

I have exactly 1 vehicle and 2 duffel bags of clothes left in the United States. And the vehicle gets repo-ed in January. Have a 25% wage garnishment waiting for me upon return to the workforce and 60k student loans I could never pay off on Walmart or similar wages.

At least the people of Nepal don't openly hate us, unlike the Palestinians and Pakistanis. I'm surprised we aren't giving a few hundred million to Iran while we're at it. As for the unemployed millions in the US - well, you get $600.

In a sane world, we'd be tarring and feathering the members of Congress who dared to try to pull this kind of crap.

"But I say to Congress that I will never sign another bill like this again"...Trump 2018.

Should have had a clean stimulus only bill crafted in the senate.

...but they're all pigs at the trough.

They also know full-well the little pee-pole will, after a short while, just go back to sleep again. It's why they pull a lot of this shyte on Fridays and right before Holidays, when attention span is elsewhere. Then the MSM do their part to put us to bed with yet another "look!, squirrel!" manufactured event to remove focus.

...rinse and repeat.

Nothing changes. Nothing will change. Until D.C. is a smoldering hole.

Venezuela and Ukraine are getting payoffs as well.

So sorry to learn of the obstacles you have faced in the technology sector.
My fingers are crossed for you that your luck and good fortune soon return.

Yeah Congress should be hung for all the pork and foreign giveaways.

But say Trump vetoed it, what happens to the 20 to 30 million people losing all benefits in 4 days, and the estimated 35% of American households expected to be evicted in the next two months (basically how fast can an eviction get docketed and take place - some states, 3 days, others l, like Colorado, 10 days, still others 30 days). Average past-due is $6000, (5 months rent) - all payable January 2.

What do we do with possibly up to 35 million Americans homeless (total rental population is about 108 million)

There are not 30 million shovel-ready jobs for the taking. Even the entry-level no-benefits part-time minimum wage positions have stopped hiring.

“part-time minimum wage positions have stopped hiring.” Walmart needs slaves. Hiring here chicken feed
Walmart/Amazon want this. Zero competition.

Congress smells Trump's blood in the water, they're going for the endgame now. He's not only being treated as a lame duck, both parties are stomping on the corpse too.

Some bad **** is coming down soon.

I want Trump to go address the nation - be angry - and tell Americans what’s in that bill. Say he’ll sign either a bill for only all the non-Covid relief with the pork cut out, our a bill that cuts out the pork and adds that amount to the Covid relief funds.

Congress is all on the payroll of Communist China, India and Soros.

Trump is the only one that has our back.

Think the major lockdowns are more to keep Patriots gathering rather than the CCP-virus. Hey, it worked wonders in Hong Kong. No more pro-American democracy protests, pro-democracy members in the HK legislative removed... all it took was a little CCP bio-weapon.

From the strongest economy in a over a quarter century to 1/6 the population losing 1/2 or all of their earned income and buying power. The loss of the middle-class as we knew it. In 1 month.

Worldwide, with the exception of China, countries have lost half or more their GDP (Chinese numbers are always false and made up, but they claim they fully recovered and are ahead of last year.

all this foreign money comes back into the back pockets of politicians here in the US.....the reason this country has poured billions into Israel for so many yrs is because, IMO only, our dear Israel backers here in the states got nice bonuses....

$600 will be welcome but for what our leaders are giving away, everyone could have gotten a lot more...

I agree that the Israel backers probably got some huge kickbacks . . . but I think the Lord has used the United States of America to “bring Israel back to life” in the eyes of the world.

[ just was funny how nancy dancing around like $600 for several months will be ‘plenty’ while she screamed about how $1200 under Trump was ‘peanuts’]

Yes, but don’t tell the Democrat voters. They think $600 > $1200!!!
