Johannesburg used to be great. Now it’s dangerous. No different from Baltimore or Detroit. So we shouldn’t be too critical when we have plenty problems here in the States.

Certain countries are doing better. Namibia is one of them.

I wish him the best of luck.

I read that global warming will turn Africa into a wasteland.

Is he offering migrants from the US “40 acres and a solar panel” as incentive to move there?

Everything in Africa turns to dust and will become a sinkhole for other peoples money. Hopefully all the BLM’s will move to such a paradise.

2000 acres? So they need 50 mules?
That's barely 3 square miles. Manhattan is 23 square miles.

I know a multimillionaire who tried to invest in some stuff in Africa. Mr. Akon is shortly going to find out that Africa is a black hole that sucks up foreign money and makes it disappear.

Forbes article...FWIW
Akon’s net worth is roughly $80 million dollars, making him one of the richest R&B singers.

Unlikely to be any infrastructure to support the construction of this scale.
No power, no water, sewer, roads...
A concrete plant? Skilled labor? Where would the workers stay and who would feed them while building this project?
Construction equipment, tractors, dump trucks...?
EVERYTHING would have to be imported, trucks to haul to the site? A road to the site?
Musk will have people on Mars before this project is populated.

“Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!“
China thinks the farmland there is so good, they’re trying to control a big percent of it.
