Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) quashed two election integrity bills in July last year after receiving thousands in donations from Dominion lobbyists.
In July, McConnell blocked two bills, one that would provide $775 million to “bolster election security,” along with requiring a physical paper trail of every single ballot cast in the country, and a second that would mandate political candidates, their staff members, and their families, to notify the FBI if any foreign government offered to assist them.
“Clearly this request is not a serious effort to make a law. Clearly something so partisan that it only received one single solitary Republican vote in the House is not going to travel through the Senate by unanimous consent,” said McConnell on the Senate floor, as he refused to allow the bills to be put to a vote.
However, within the previous year, multiple lobbyists representing Dominion Voting Systems and Election Systems and Software, who together make up around 80% of all voting machines in the country, donated thousands of dollars to the McConnell campaign.
David Cohen and Brian Wild, both of lobbyist Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, who lobbied for Dominion in 2019, donated $2,000 and $1,000 respectively to the McConnell campaign funds. And around the same time, Emily Kirlin and Jen Olson, who have lobbied for ES&S, also donated $1,000 each.
Interestingly, these donations occurred throughout March of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic first reached the United States and mail-in voting became an almost certainty for the 2020 election.
McConnell on Tuesday praised the processes and outcome of the presidential election, and appeared to align himself with Vice President Biden. “Americans voted in this year’s general election. Legal and Constitutional processes have continued to play out since then,” McConnell said.

There was a bill proposed last year to spend almost ONE BILLION DOLLARS to “bolster election security” that McConnell was bribed to deep-six?
How much would it cost to get rid of all computers and machines to tally the ballots, use paper ballots, and purple ink-stained fingers, and wipe the voter registration rolls clean, and eliminate all mail-in voting? Far, far less than a billion bucks.

Well, I actually am kind of surprised... that he would sell out so cheaply.
Although no doubt he got millions from China too, through his wife, to do it.
I don’t know if Trump’s Administration will go end soon or what his future holds.
But if nothing else, he has done America a great service by ripping the cover off the den of snakes that is American government and the deep state - for anyone who has eyes and will see. Things will never be the same!

The very reason lobbyists need to go the way of the dodo bird, and no elected or appointed government official nor family, staffer, etc. be permitted to give or receive from any lobbyist.
If true, this really borders on treasonous acts. I hope his constituents give him the boot if true.

Someone once proposed congress critters get $250k/yr-no outside income or contributions. That would self limit their terms. How to pay for campaigns I don’t know. libertarians say unlimited.

To get that low a mark takes more than contributions to McConnell.
The MI hearing with the Dominion CEO didn’t go particularly well for us.
The CEO appeared credible, confident and responsive. Still he could have been lying.
He said the machines couldn’t be connected to the internet. But then he did end up admitting that they had RJ45 jacks for connection to a LAN. He said the swticdh isn’t connected to an external source, but show determines that?
He said there were no fractional recording capability in the software. And that the reports showing decimal places he had seen, appeared to be power point slides and were not actual Dominion reports.
He said the software is not downloaded from Dominion. The software is submitted to EAC (Federal Election Assistance Commission), certified by them and is downloaded from there. I think I heard him say the EAC sends copies of the software out to 3 different vendors for examination.
He talked about the “adjudication” process. Described the difference between a manual and automated adjudication process. Said that the county in Michigan that has been examined did not have a license to the automated adjudication process and so was a manual adjudication process, that should have had observers.
He denied that there was any payment from a foreign government shortly before the election. The question wasn’t asked specifically enough though.
But Sydney Powell strikes me as credible and confident too. And she claims to have evidence of a lot of this stuff.

That is the key. I read once, did mot save the link, that her father is the largest ship owner in China and that he is very close to the Chinese inner power circle.
That means that President Trump’s tariffs and other sanctions against China would not only be hurting her father but also the entire circle of their friends.
The Chinese government is bound to be putting pressure on them in a very quiet behind the scenes way.
