Not exactly. There’s precedent. In 1960 Hawaii was contested after a apparent Kennedy win and both Nixon and Kennedy electors were sent and it was later resolved month later and it went to Nixon

both parties sent certifictates from the electors to Washington, and in the joint session, as veep, Nixon ordered the dem certificate to be counted, and ignore the pub one, and certified his own election loss in the state...
