People are splitting up in so many different ways. One of them is that the left and the right have their own media. They have little overlap. Conservatives subscribe to their media. The left subscribe to their media.

The left has had monopoly of media for a long time. It was always theirs, but the right starts to have its own media even though it is quite small compared with the left-wing media for now. The split will occur in every aspect of society.

What you say gets close to the root of the problem we face as a nation and obliquely addresses it.

It is a fundamental cleavage point between Conservatives and Leftists just as surely as the cleavage point on a diamond can separate it cleanly into two pieces.

That cleavage point, upon which we as Conservatives may be separated most cleanly from Leftists is: Truth.

Conservatives believe in Objective Truth.

Conservatives believe that there are certain things that are true no matter who you are, where you are, or what era you live in. It has less to do with stances on abortion or the Second Amendment, and more to do with the fact that we hold that certain rights are "Natural Rights", given to us by God, and cannot morally or rightfully be taken from us by any person or government. These are our "inalienable rights" as referenced in The Declaration of Independence.

Leftists believe in Subjective Truth.

Leftists believe that Truth is relative. They believe that that truth is defined by people or government, is plastic, pliable, and changeable to suit the political needs of a person or a party. They do not believe in God, so they do not believe we have rights given to us by God. They believe that rights are granted by the State and by Society, and those rights may be changed to suit the current needs, weakened, or entirely suppressed or removed by the State if it deems it necessary.

This is a basic and fundamental difference, and is why we as a nation are in such peril. When two different groups see Truth in such a principally different way, it means that we will not be able to agree on anything but the most insignificant things.

Using this election and the past four years as an example, our Truth as Conservatives, arrived at by rationality and powers of observation, is that President Trump is a man who can get things done (moving the Embassy to Jerusalem, brokering Middle East peace accords, building a wall, restoring an economy, etc.) and that this election result showing Biden as more popular overall (and the winner as well) is fraudulent.

Our Truth shows us that the mathematical probability of Trump losing in a given state after being ahead by a certain amount when a certain percentage of the returns had been tallied for that one state is so low as to be impossible. Then to see voting had been stopped at a given time in that state for questionable reasons, and at that same time, huge batches of votes (100K votes for Biden vs 5K votes for Trump) were tallied in MULTIPLE areas, makes the probability of a non-corrupt Biden win even smaller.

And our objective truth also tells us that while Biden winning in ONE key battleground state in that exact fashion is very unlikely, having Biden winning in a LARGE number of battleground states KNOWN in advance to be in contention in exactly that same fashion in FOUR of those key battleground states is impossible, calculated in the Texas lawsuit as "one in a quadrillion".

Conservatives see this as an "Objective Truth".

To Leftists, their Subjective Truth is that Trump is a tyrannical, Hitlerian fascist strongman dictator who breaks laws with impunity, had collaborated with Russia to get elected, and that the Leftists are morally justified in using any means possible to oust him from office, including breaking any laws or unfairly persecuting or jailing anyone who gets in their way. They justify widespread Election Fraud to that end as morally necessary.

They justified the surveillance of Candidate and President Trump and his associates on their Subjective Truth that he is evil and crazy and not to be allowed to take or remain in office.

They justified the political persecution and ruination of General Flynn on their Subjective Truth about his phone call to the Russian Ambassador, and George Papadopoulos on the basis of their Subjective Truth about his relationship to the Trump Campaign.

They justified the fraudulent impeachment of President Trump on their Subjective Truth about the nature of his phone call to the Ukrainian President.

The point is, they have their Subjective Truth (whatever they decide Truth is) and we have our Objective Truth. Those two things cannot always coexist. And when the question of the nature of an objective truth cannot be agreed upon because one side categorically rejects it, then Truth fails, there is no common ground to be occupied, and the two sides become implacable enemies.
