Nearly all of Pennsylvania’s counties are seeing substantial spread of the coronavirus, Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration said Monday.
The Wolf administration said 66 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties have seen substantial spread of COVID-19. It’s the second week in a row that all but one of the state’s counties has shown substantial spread of the coronavirus.
Statewide, the rate of positive tests for the coronavirus has risen to 14.4%, up from 11.7% last week. Flourish logoA Flourish chart

The state has regularly eclipsed highs for new COVID-19 cases in recent days. On Saturday, the state reported a one-day record of 12,884 new cases. More than 11,000 deaths have been tied to COVID-19.
More than 5,000 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals. Some health care officials have expressed concerns about the surging numbers straining the staff and capacity of hospitals.
Wolf and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine have urged Pennsylvanians to wear masks and to stay home as much as possible. The stay-home advisory is not a directive but Wolf has urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel, including over the holidays.
“The latest update continues to show the effect COVID-19 is having in Pennsylvania,” Wolf said in a statement Monday. “The mitigation steps in place are necessary to prevent our health system from being overrun. We are approaching that point, which is why we need all Pennsylvanians to follow these measures as part of their collective responsibility to protect one another and the health system.”
Every county in Pennsylvania has a positive COVID019 test rate of at least 5%, a level the state has considered a sign of significant community spread. Nine counties have positive test rates of at least 20%: Mifflin, Potter, Bedford, Montour, Juniata, Somerset, Tioga, Franklin and Lawrence.
For clarity, here is the list of counties with substantial spread and the lone county in Pennsylvania seeing a low spread of the virus.

The stats are crap.
Forest County as well? That place is pretty sparsely populated except for the prison.
Keeps the fake pandemic in the news. Whip up hysteria. Take people’s minds off the election fraud.
On the nosey!
Keep the fake pandemic in the news and hopefully they won’t notice their state is being taken over by COMMUNISTS.
Amen...
Keep ‘em whizzed off by upping personal restrictions ie masks, lockdowns, gatherings and maybe they will ‘forget’ about the day to day REAL NEWS.
Hopefully - but afraid it is too late -
“How you gonna keep ‘em down on the farm after they have seen Gay Paree” is still a good line...
Just in time to cancel all the election fraud investigations.
If this is correct, then what were the restrictions for?
except for the prison.
= = = = = = = = = =
I would think that the prison ‘atmosphere’ would be the perfect place to experiment with all the different restrictions like masks, social distancing etc etc yet ‘they’ figured the best thing to do was to release the prisoners..
Then they get ‘upset’ when we say the only reason you released prisoners was to make room for those of us that don’t want to play your silly games.
So masks and shutdowns don’t work. End it all.
They’re HERE. The MSM and social media police just CENSOR THEM.
Waiting for the people to raise up and not take it any more!
Wow, sounds like Dr. Levine did such a great job with Pennsylvania, we should make him Surgeon General!
5000 in a state over 12 Million....
What nonsense. The hospital system is not at risk of being “overwhelmed”.
What lies
More fear mongering.
There must be bodies everywhere.
