Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is poised to become the chairman of the Budget Committee if Republicans keep the Senate. He said he wants to create a new commission to propose ways to reduce the deficit and address the country’s debt.
“I think we’ve got to understand that we’re going to be raising the debt ceiling in perpetuity if we don’t find a way to bend the curve,” Graham said.
The battle over spending could quickly come to a head with fights looming over budgets, pandemic spending and the debt ceiling, which was suspended under a deal between Trump and Congress. It is set to be reinstated at the end of July.

There is no way to “bend the curve” without cutting “entitlement” spending drastically. And American voters will never stand for that.

You mean cut Social Security? During the campaign, when Biden and the Democrats were accusing Trump and the GOP of wanting to do that, many Freepers said the Dems were lying. But you’re saying we should prove the Dems right, and cut Social Security?
Lindsey is a typical Joe Biden republican. He, like countless other repubs had years to reduce spending and fix it. Now he is only gonna act like it matters because there isn’t a repub in the wh going forward.
If he would be as effective on the finance committee as he was on the judiciary, nothing will be done! I just hope they appoint someone on judicuary that exposes both Graham and McCain as the traitors they bith are.
Lindsey will cut some deal like always and it won’t be good.
The Rs will increase the social security age limit to 78 for citizens while continuing the steady flow of US tax benefits to illegals. It’s the fiscal conservative way!
