“Yes, 50% plus 1 vote. BTW, its David Perdue, not Sonny. They are cousins. This is Georgia!
I dont see where he got up to 50%, though. Where did you see that?”
I think you replied to the wrong person. I never wrote that Purdue now has 50%. The last results I saw ( a couple of days ago) had Purdue at 49.7%. Also, on the relationship between Sonny and David Purdue, see my post above, which I sent at about the same time you sent yours.
We had 3 parties in 1856. After the Whig Party folded there was a contest between two new/new-ish parties striving to replace the Whigs as the enduring opposition party to the Democrats. While the Democrats cruised to victory, the vote split between the two new parties was about 60%/40% favoring the Republican party over the American Party. Voters accepted that choice and consolidated their support with the Republican Party.
It is true that our electoral system is not suited for a longer term survival of three major competitive parties.
People forget that we had one Speaker of the House from the American party, as they had some success in congressional elections prior to the pivotal 1856 election.
“Jon Ossoff is the Georgia version of Beto ORourke.”
But without Beto’s charm and good looks.
Sass is just a big mouth, but voted trump bills and judges always.
50% +1 vote
True!
Putting Romney in a Harris cabinet would be the dumbest thing the DemoNazis ever did.
If the dems get away with the Fraud in Georgia - they will take both seats.
Well, I wont be voting, so, yeah.
