The imposition of a very brutal "peace" achieved by completely crushing the enemy. The term derives from the peace imposed on the Carthaginian Empire by the Roman Republic. After the Second Punic War, Carthage lost all its colonies, was forced to demilitarize and pay a constant tribute to Rome and could enter war only with Rome's permission. At the end of the Third Punic War, the Romans systematically burned Carthage to the ground and enslaved its population.

Come to think of it, the Democrats are the ones going “Carthage”, imposing on America an illegitimate President and resorting to any dishonesty and outright illegality to (putting it mildly) neutralize the role of the Republican Party in our country’s political life. You do realize that, in implementing Pax Romana, on the democrats, that the Roman left no stone standing, every combatant was killed, and the women, ahem, “once had”, were made slaves, but their babies were dashed on the broken stones of the city. Their growing fields were salted, and their crops burned.

This implies we would have to eradicate every Democrat, the government would seize everything.

It surprises me that fellow FReepers do not get the nuance of what I call for.

No, I am not advocating a literal eradication of the Democratic Party, much less by using force. Creating a one-party state under the GOP is not the solution (come to think of it, the Dems would love that solution if it were in their favor, but that’s their deal). The Dems must be relentlessly held accountable for what they have done to this country, very much with willing accomplices such as the media and Big Tech. The widespread election fraud we are seeing should be catalyst enough.
