A jail booking photo of Dominick Black SOURCE: Kenosha County Sheriff
KENOSHA, Wis. A 19-year-old man has been charged with illegally buying a gun used to kill two protesters in Kenosha.
Dominick Black, of Kenosha, was charged with two counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to a person under the age of 18, causing death.
According to a criminal complaint, Black bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle on May 1 at Ladysmith Ace Home Center in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
Ladysmith is more than 300 miles from Kenosha.
Prosecutors said Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Illinois, gave Black the money used to buy the gun.
The complaint said Black knew Rittenhouse was not legally able to buy the gun because he was not 18 years old.

Prtotecting people and property bad. Rioting looting and threatening people and ttheir property good.
This is a witch hunt conducted by Rat Party Swamp Creatures. I vote *not guilty* on all charges.
Obviously Dominick Black did not use one of the Obama ATF's *Fast And Furious* approved gun shops or the ATF's Narco Trafficker roving gun salesmen, or it would all have been good.
“Straw buyer purchase. The only exemption is when the buyer purchases as a ‘gift’.”
Yeah, not good. I know Kyle acted in self defense, and did a damned good job of it, this won’t help his case. I feel bad for him, and hope Lin Wood can send this kid back home to his parents again.
Sorry - I dont cart if it is the law anymore. If DAs in blue states can ignore actual wanton destruction and violence then some one buying a gun for another is not even worthy of attention.
Compare the ferocity with which the Wisconsin authorities have pursured this obvious self-defense case to the Portland authorities not even bothering to arrest, detain or even question the (now deceased) ANTIFA scumbag who stalked and murdered a Trump-supporter in cold blood.
If true a problem for Dominick Black and possibly for Kyle’s defense.
“Rittenhouse was not legally able to buy the gun because he was not 18 years old.”
I was 13 (1959) when I purchased by first .22 caliber rifle. I needed it so that I could participate in the firearms safety and marksmanship program at school.
Its not a straw buyer unless the gun is meant for that person.
If someone bought an extra gun and lent it for a night, how is that illegal?
Uh, oh..
I thought Kyle used a gun that was borrowed from/owned by someone else. The straw purchase, if true, is not going to help his case.
I gave a gun to a lady that had a record “ I got it at a gun show POS 25 auto she had a problematic ex ? this was 35 years ago she still has it and never used it Id do it again
I remember in Boy Scouts we all shot guns. We even had a few nights at the local National Guard Armory for practice.
I won a shooting award on one such occasion with the Boy Scouts immediately after leaving Cub Scouts. I was already shooting at home for years, by the time.
So these two boys have Attorneys that advised them to admit to a 10 year Felony for no reason?
Buying a gun for you and handing you a gun that legally belongs to me ARE NOT THE SAME THING!
The only evidence for “straw purchase” would have to come directly from the accused.
They charged him under Wis. law not federal totally different.
Is this a stretch of the imagination?
Its an issue because Rittenhouse allegedly gave his friend the money to buy the AR in the first place, thus making it a straw purchase, not a loan. I dont think it affects the murder case against Rittenhouse, as the choice of weapon is not a factor in a murder (IMHO). If the murder case is acquitted, you can bet they will slap Rittenhouse with straw purchase charges.
The complaint said Black knew Rittenhouse was not legally able to buy the gun because he was not 18 years old.
So Rittenhouse gave the money to Mr. Black to buy a gun for the rally?
Looks easily disprovable, and I am amazed by these prosecutors ability to discern intent.
Compare and contrast to the prosecutions of those that damaged property or assaulted citizens on the other side.
Looks like we need to create our own Secretary of State and prosecutor nonprofit.
