.@FoxNews, @QuinnipiacPoll, ABC/WaPo, NBC/WSJ were so inaccurate with their polls on me, that it really is tampering with an Election. They were so far off in their polling, and in their attempt to suppress - that they should be called out for Election Interference...

...ABC/WaPo had me down 17 points in Wisconsin, the day before the election, and I WON! In Iowa, the polls had us 4 points down, and I won by 8.2%! Fox News and Quinnipiac were wrong on everything...

...The worst polling ever, and then they’ll be back in four years to do it again. This is much more then voter and campaign finance suppression!

It’s called collusion. It’s a crime to subvert an election. Jail time necessary.

Not jail time, public execution time. By firing squad, hanging, stoning, beheading, an Iron Maiden, I don’t care.

Lol. The “news” people lie about literally everything. Even the most innocuous story is falsely exaggerated or out-and-out lied about. I have seen it time and again. These people are incapable of honesty. Even if you could prove to them that being honest was the best choice in a specific case they would still lie about it.

That’s what they do. They are psychopaths.

They prosecuted game shows for fudging stuff.

The outright LIES we let the 5th column media get away with is unreal.

Using a haymaker to ruin your enemies and affect elections is NOT freedom of speech or the press.

It was certainly tampering, they were trying to sway votes, or at the least set up a narrative for later.

I love listening to Rich Baris of Peoples Pundit—one of the few to poll correctly this election in every state basically—talk about this issue.

He says the media pollsters are bad at polling, rushed, cheap, lying, and arrogant. And they sneered at him and he was exactly right—did his very best work this year. EVERYTHING is bad about them. And he says they will do it all again in 2 years at the midterms.

I’m glad Trump tweeted this tonight. The Big Media and Big Tech oppression is making me angrier than even the big city dem fraud.

Because if we had a fair and honest media, Trump would have won more votes even if we didn’t have a fair and honest election.

Some background on how the media consolidates its polling, including details on the key role played by CBS and the Washington Post in setting up the system:

---

https://shorensteincenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/d42_sproul.pdf

In the summer of 1964, ABC, CBS, and NBC, along with the AP and UPI wire services jointly formed an organization called the News Election Service (NES) to pool resources to gather vote count information. By joining forces, the news organizations hoped to get more accurate vote totals nationwide than any one organization could get on its own. The calling of races and the interpretation of election results, though, were done separately by the individual news organizations.

In 1967, Warren Mitofsky, widely known as the “father of exit polling,” began conducting them for CBS News. . .

Warren Mitofsky, American political pollster, was born on September 17, 1934, in the Bronx, NY. He attended and graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, and did graduate work at the University of North Carolina. At the University of Minnesota he became a doctoral candidate in mass communications but did not complete his degree. After ending his graduate studies, Mitofsky began working for the U.S. Census Bureau. While there, he designed many surveys on demographics including those for the poverty program and presidential commissions. Also during this time of employment, he developed, along with his colleague Joseph Waksberg, an efficient random digit dialing sampling method that would be widely implemented and an industry standard for many years. Mitofsky left the Census Bureau for CBS News in 1967 to become the executive director of the election and survey unit, a post he held until 1990. Inspired by George Fine’s surveys of moviegoers after they left the theater, he conducted and invented the first exit poll in the 1967 Kentucky Gubernatorial Election. At the same time he developed the analysis and projection systems used to call elections. Exit polls were first used in national elections in 1972 and remain in use to the present day. In 1975, Mitofsky started the CBS News/ New York Times poll and directed it for the next fifteen years. During this time he developed and implemented many improvements to the system of exit poll sampling and statistical methods. In 1989 he proposed an independent exit poll organization to provide exit polls for the television networks. The news networks rejected this idea wanting to retain more control over the polls. In 1990, he instead started and became the director of Voter Research & Surveys ( VRS). An interview with Everett Ladd discussing the formation of VRS can be found here. VRS was a consortium of the major of the four major television news networks of ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC who would pool their resources to conduct exit polling and predict election results. In 1994 they merged with News Election Service ( NES) to become Voter News Service ( VNS). In 1993, Warren left VRS to create his own independent company, Mitofsky International. This new organization handled exit polls not only in the U.S. but around the world, including Mexico, Russia and the Philippines. Mitofsky’s vision of an independent polling company handling exit polling came to fruition in the 2003 California Gubernatorial Recall. In this and subsequent elections, Mitofsky International partnered with Edison Media Research to conduct exit polls for ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox, NBC, and The Associated Press while maintaining complete authority over technical decisions. Mitofsky was also very involved with polling outside the news industry. He was president of the American Association for Public Opinion Research ( AAPOR), the National Council on Public Polls ( NCPP), and the Research Industry Coalition (RIC). In 1995, he was a fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and in the same year he was the Howard R. Marsh Visiting Professor at the University of Michigan. In 1999, AAPOR gave him their lifetime achievement award, hailing ''his continuing concern for survey quality.'' He was also a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and served on the board of the Roper Center and the NY State Committee on Open Government. Warren Mitofsky died September 1, 2006.

The Columbia Broadcasting System. CBS was unquestionably the CIAs most valuable broadcasting asset. CBS President William Paley and Allen Dulles enjoyed an easy working and social relationship. Over the years, the network provided cover for CIA employees, including at least one well‑known foreign correspondent and several stringers; it supplied outtakes of newsfilm to the CIA3; established a formal channel of communication between the Washington bureau chief and the Agency; gave the Agency access to the CBS newsfilm library; and allowed reports by CBS correspondents to the Washington and New York newsrooms to be routinely monitored by the CIA. Once a year during the 1950s and early 1960s, CBS correspondents joined the CIA hierarchy for private dinners and briefings.

The details of the CBS‑CIA arrangements were worked out by subordinates of both Dulles and Paley. “The head of the company doesn’t want to know the fine points, nor does the director,” said a CIA official. “Both designate aides to work that out. It keeps them above the battle.” Dr. Frank Stanton, for 25 years president of the network, was aware of the general arrangements Paley made with Dulles—including those for cover, according to CIA officials. Stanton, in an interview last year, said he could not recall any cover arrangements.) But Paley’s designated contact for the Agency was Sig Mickelson, president of CBS News between 1954 and 1961. On one occasion, Mickelson has said, he complained to Stanton about having to use a pay telephone to call the CIA, and Stanton suggested he install a private line, bypassing the CBS switchboard, for the purpose. According to Mickelson, he did so. Mickelson is now president of Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty, both of which were associated with the CIA for many years.

In 1976, CBS News president Richard Salant ordered an in‑house investigation of the network's dealings with the CIA. Some of its findings were first disclosed by Robert Scheer in the Los Angeles Times.) But Salant's report makes no mention of some of his own dealings with the Agency, which continued into the 1970s. . .

When Newsweek was purchased by the Washington Post Company, publisher Philip L. Graham was informed by Agency officials that the CIA occasionally used the magazine for cover purposes, according to CIA sources. "It was widely known that Phil Graham was somebody you could get help from," said a former deputy director of the Agency. "Frank Wisner dealt with him." Wisner, deputy director of the CIA from 1950 until shortly before his suicide in 1965, was the Agency's premier orchestrator of "black" operations, including many in which journalists were involved. Wisner liked to boast of his "mighty Wurlitzer," a wondrous propaganda instrument he built, and played, with help from the press.) Phil Graham was probably Wisner's closest friend. But Graham, who committed suicide in 1963, apparently knew little of the specifics of any cover arrangements with Newsweek, CIA sources said. . .

In 1980, NBC was the first network to use exit polling to call the Presidential race. NBC declared Ronald Reagan the winner, by an unexpected landslide, at 8:15 PM. It was not until hours later that CBS News made the call. By that time, Jimmy Carter had conceded and the election was over before the polls on the West Coast had closed. (Today, the networks have an agreement with Congress, negotiated in the mid-1980s, to wait until a majority of the polls in each state are closed before announcing any election results from that state.)

Each network used to do its own exit polling, but in 1989, in an effort to cut costs by pooling resources, the three major networks and the Associated Press joined to form Voter Research and Surveys (VRS) to do polling for all of them. The CBS News exitpoll model was adopted, and Mitofsky headed the operation. Five years later, VRS was combined with the News Election Service (NES), a consortium formed by the major wire services and CBS, ABC and NBC that since the 1960s had been collecting Election Day data on total votes from precincts all across the United States. The combined entity became known as Voter News Service (VNS).

VNS maintained the CBS News statistical model, but Warren Mitofsky left and two others took over the merged organization: Bob Flaherty of NES was responsible for gathering the vote data, and Murray Edelman, a former VRS and CBS employee, headed the exit-polling side of VNS, with the responsibility for making VNS’s Election Night calls. Today VNS is a consortium of CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox and the AP. More than 100 newspapers, radio stations and television stations subscribe to the service on Election Night. . .

---

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_News_Service

The Voter News Service was an exit polling consortium formed in 1990 by six major U.S. news media organizations.[1] Its mission was to provide results for United States presidential elections, so that individual organizations and networks would not have to do exit polling and vote tallying in parallel. . .

The VNS included major United States television networks and newspapers:

Both parties, Republican and Democrat

ABC News

CBS News

NBC News

CNN

Fox

The Associated Press

ABC News scooped its partners all night in reporting outcomes of the 1994 US elections when it hired an outside firm to do exit polling and was able to make earlier calls with that data.[2]

Role in the 2000 presidential election

A possibly unwritten secondary mission of the Voter News Service was to provide election results as quickly as possible on election night—a point which came to haunt the VNS in the 2000 presidential election. . .

2002 attempt and disbandment

In 2002, the VNS intended to make calls in the November 2002 U.S. Congressional and Senate elections. It attempted to use a computer system designed for VNS by Battelle Memorial Institute to do this. A system failure occurred in this computer on election night, making quick delivery of data impossible. In fact, collecting and delivering the data took ten months.[4][5]

In January 2003, the Voter News Service was disbanded largely because of failures in 2000 and 2002. Murray Edelman, VNS editorial director, criticized the decision as making the VNS a scapegoat.[5]

National Election Pool

In the 2004 presidential election, the news organizations that had comprised the membership of the Voter News Service set up a new organization called National Election Pool, utilizing consultants Edison/Mitofsky for exit polling and Associated Press for official returns. However, the NEP had controversies of its own for 2004 when it released exit polling data early that was significantly different from the final results. . .
