No one is suggesting God quit or is out of the business of intervening in Natural Law. Miracles.
What I am asserting is, the event in question, which differs little from Native American Spiritualism and/or African Traditional Religion. Superstition. Fortune telling.
If you don’t believe God is removing his hand from this country, stick your head out the window. I was pointing out a reality that is painfully obvious and has been a consistent judgement on nations that turn their back on Christ.

I agree with every point you make here, but our CONCLUSIONS about what is the truth are often wrong. There are an endless number of examples which could be given to confirm that. Scientists, for example, do their work based on the assumption that what they believe to be true may, upon further investigation, be proven to be untrue.

There is no way 66 books/letters written over 1500 years by 40+ authors of such diverse backgrounds, could have produced a perfect work that is so cohesive and consistent.
If people wanted a miracle.....there it is.
So if you posit that conclusions born from the human experience are often wrong, then point to the error in the inerrant Word of God because 2,000+ years of scholarship hasn't been able to do it. Even the "apparent contradictions" are easily explained.
But not to be out done, a new nation (the United States) gave birth to a nay-sayer-- Simon Greenleaf, co-founder of Harvard Law School. He put the whole thing on trial. At the end of his investigation, not only did be become a Christian, but now his work ( his principles, procedures, and rules) is the international standard on examining all ancient documents.
