Supreme Court Rebuffs Republican Requests In Swing State Election Appeals
Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 28, 2020 | Kevin Daley

The Supreme Court dealt a blow to Republicans in battleground states Pennsylvania and North Carolina in a pair of emergency election appeals Wednesday night.

In the Pennsylvania case, the Court left in place the state's three-day grace period for ballots received after Election Day, but several justices indicated they could revisit the issue after Nov. 3 if necessary. In the North Carolina case, the justices outright rejected a Republican bid to shorten the state's mail-in ballot deadline from nine days to three after Election Day.

The Supreme Court has intervened to stop federal courts from tinkering with election procedures, the coronavirus pandemic notwithstanding, but Chief Justice John Roberts has voted with the Court's liberal wing to allow changes made by state courts. In a brief opinion Monday night, Roberts said that state law may sometimes require late-breaking adjustments, and state courts should have the final word on state law.

Pardon my language, but THIS IS FRICKIN' BS!

Roberts claims state law should rule, but the state court's judicial activist judges are changing the written law, which is why it was appealed to the USSC to properly interpret the law.

Roberts is JUDAS.

He also better be nice to Justice Amy and not some evil, threatening tyrant behind the scenes.

LORD, please redeem the Supreme Court from the enemy’s grasp. In Jesus’ name.

The PA decision was actually a win, because the ballots that arrive after Nov.3 have to be set aside for latter.

Article states that Amy did not participate in either case because she hadn’t had time to review.

Praying that she will be involved in resolving whatever further disputes arise to settle the outcome of this crucial election.

So she should decide before reviewing the information - although it would not change the outcome?

Did you not read the damned article before spouting off like some toddler. Here, this is what was in the article: “Justice Amy Coney Barrett did not participate in either case, because she has not had time to review the filings, according to a Court spokeswoman.” There. Now shut your ignorant mouth.

Both states can still be reviewed after the election, so it’s not a total loss yet.

But I still don’t understand how they could rule on such a base constitutional issue on electoral process is given to the state legislature, not the lower court.

This has nothing to do with time. It’s pretty cut and dry.

Actually, Chief Justice Compromised Roberts, this is a federal election, so you’re perfectly free to tell a compromised state supreme court to go stick it.

The PA decision was actually a win, because the ballots that arrive after Nov.3 have to be set aside for latter.

Any ruling that allows for any potential votes beyond election day, is a violation of the law there, per my understanding. Roberts is proving himself to be a liberal judicial activist that ignores the laws, and re-writes them to match his desired result, verses applying the law as written, and intended.

She’s not on vacation. The court apparently determined to go ahead with the rulings since she supposedly didn’t have time to read all the briefs. In other words, “Let’s rule on these cases before she has time to settle in!”

You have no idea how courts work do you. Tell you what. I’ll call Kavanaugh and Alito and let them know how you believe they rushed things to avoid having the new girl weigh in.

Roberts is the satanically ordered “pope Francis” of America’s judicial system.

On the most damaging US Constitution wrecking issues, Ginsbert dude rules as left, or more left, than almost any justice in American History.

Based in what he has already done since appointed, if all laws and their applications were to stay the same based on current rulings, and the Judicial Branch disbanded tomorrow, America and liberty would already die a painful and violent death.

Gorsuch and Cavanaugh have already shown significant immoral left wing pandering, well outside strict Constitutional Law, at its expense.

It would be shocking, if the immoral compromising decisions were so expected.

Thomas and ACB (hopefully), are likely the only true principles Constitutional conservatives on the bench, base in what we have seen several times this year, including Gorsuch and Cavanaugh.

Roberts is the satanically ordered “pope Francis” of America’s judicial system.

Great analogy. With these 2 rulings, Roberts has proven he is every equal of the same SNAKE the current Pope is. This is a dangerous time for the world with evil in such powerful positions.

Actually, if Ginsbert had been chief justice when Bush 43 legitimately won election, and team Gore nearly stole it away, Theodore Olsen may not have won the battle at SCOTUS.

GINSBERT is an “in your face” flaming enemy of the US Constitution, period.

Scary thought, but likely true. He should never be considered an potential conservative vote ever again. Just a phony, JUDAS, as I originally said. Hopefully his skeletons will eventually come to light, and he will pay a dear price for his treachery.
