French President Macron could announce a new nationwide lockdown today as a growing wave of anti-lockdown protests sweep Europe.
The French government is envisaging a month-long national lockdown to combat the coronavirus resurgence which could take effect from midnight on Thursday, France's BFM TV reported yesterday.
Macron is due to make a televised address at 8pm today which is expected to see a national lockdown imposed or a host of local measures and curfews extended.

I find those numbers highly dubious. If true, they must have a very deadly strain of the virus circulating.
The almost 100% group think going on around the world is amazing with very few exceptions.
At some point you would hope that critical thinking starts to happen with respect to lock downs....
The more they lock down, the longer the virus will last and the overall number of deaths will not change....
The only solution is herd immunity and eventually the aid of an effective vaccine which I doubt will happen....
Build up your own immune system, socially distance yourself and practice personal hygiene and go out and live your life....

Have you noticed that in the US they are not reporting the number that died, only the number of cases. All that represents is the number of “positive” test, not even the number that are sick.
And if someone is test multiple time do each of those “positive” test get counted as new cases?
We are being manipulated by our own governments with the help of the media.
They had worse, at the beginning (almost 1500 dead in a single day), but then it went way down over the summer, to almost zero. It seems that for much of the world, their lockdowns may have bought time, but with no virus or good treatment available, it just delayed them getting slammed, relative to us. I think the virus, over there, is finishing off the low-hanging targets (i.e., elderly, etc.), while we got much of that out of the way earlier.
I thought I read that France banned Hydroxchlorquine for Covid-19 several months ago?
A certain number of tests here have been false positives. Are those subtracted later from the ongoing numbers we’re getting? How does one even find that out? There’s also anecdotal evidence of people who have left long car lines at testing sites and gone home without getting the test, yet later received a positive test result in the mail. Who knows how many of these ‘cases’ are simply falsified to bump up the numbers.

And that is the main point. The media and politicians have so poison the well we the people can no longer trust anything they report on. I will include “physicians and scientist” with them. Too many of them have allowed either money or their own bias influence what they say.
To some it is okay to deceive if it is for the “greater good” as they see it.
Why does the incidence of cold and flu go up in the wintertime?
Certainly, the stress of going from warm to cold is one factor but I think being locked down and inside also makes it worse.
If so then these lockdowns seem questionable.
